I was going to press Rowan’s feet and hands into my stoneware clay, but with its shrink rate they wouldn’t be an accurate size (14.5% smaller or so). I went with an air dry clay kit instead. Occupi the octopus was made by 🐙 🥰

Hello! We’re still here and Rowan made it to six weeks (through the holidays) healthy and over 12lbs. The days are getting slightly more predictable so there will be a pottery pickup time this Sunday for student pots. An email with more details will be going out today!

We truly fell in love the moment he cried for the first time and it became so very real that we had a son.

Rowan Sandor, born November 28 at 1:01 am, weighed 9lb 3oz and was 54 cm long. It took 42 hours of labour and an emergency c-section to bring him Earthside.

Special thanks to Madeleine for keeping our little pottery store open this week. The hospital team was unsure why I was talking about pottery during a contraction…and it was because he was being born into a Tuesday when there were retail hours. 😂

Gabrielle & Neil are expecting soon and I was able to capture some maternity photos for them while we still had the chance! When you get into those late 30-weeks it could be any day. 🕰️
