Uburu Africa
Uburu Africa is a college recruitment tool developed by SISU Africa.
The 2022 Men’s World Cup highlighted the growth and skill of African teams on the global stage. And with the 2023 Women’s World Cup starting next month African football is now set to embark on a new era. The talent is there and so is the passion for the game.
With all the talent on the continent it’s important that the next generation is given every opportunity to succeed.
As we start to get ready for recruitment season 2024 we can’t wait to see all the new talent securing their scholarships to US colleges 🙌
Soccer is already a global favorite and it is quickly becoming a first choice sport for young people in the USA with men’s and women’s college soccer available on large TV networks.
Soccer participation grows year on year with the game being offered far more frequently in colleges. This results in a much larger base of experienced players playing at a high level with greater appreciation for the game.
Forbes reported the strong recovery of international student enrolment into US colleges since the decrease caused by the pandemic.
With the help Uburu Africa offers to players who have limited economic means to get opportunities to a play college soccer and get a college education we will continue to see this growth.
Grassroots development is at the heart of identifying young talent to develop and provide them with the opportunity to compete at higher levels.
However, there are obstacles that can hinder the the accomplishments and progression of these goals. This is where Uburu Africa can help to bridge this gap and support grassroots development by creating more opportunities for talent.
When applying to US colleges to further a soccer career as well as gain an education many don’t know all the options that are out there. With nearly 5000 colleges and universities in the U.S it’s hard to know where to start.
Using a recuritment platform like Uburu Africa does not just connect coaches with top African talent, but will take both sides through every step of the process. This includes helping with:
- NAIA/NCAA registration fees
- Visa assistance
- InCred evaluation fees
As players head to US colleges to get an education and play soccer they know that adjusting to this new way of life will take time, but college soccer can facilitate that kind of cultural blend.
They have the exciting opportunity to become better soccer players and to pave the way for more talent from their academies back home.✨
The new continent wide African Super League kicking off in August will see 25% of the funds going to the development of women’s and youth football.
This will help to support the growth of club football, the construction and maintenance of football infrastructure and facilities, as well as the training of talent in Africa.
With this development more opportunities will be created for players to compete at higher levels and build on the pathway to US college opportunities.
