FallsView Woodworking
Do you need it Constructed or Repaired? is it a small job or a big job?
Whatever the job entails Fallsview Woodworking is here to provide an end product that is unique to the customer's requirements.
From what looked like a beaver damaged board, comes this!
It’s still very much in it’s rough form, but it gives a much better view of what we are doing!
The grain of this birch is absolutely stunning!
To make this project even better the wood was harvested right here in Newfoundland!

✨Busy as Beavers✨
While it may look like we’ve had a beaver stop for a visit, we can assure you that’s not the case!
Instead we’ve been occupying ourselves with some hand carving!
It may not look like much, but this is going to be a a pedestal style side table, with a circular top!
Stay tuned for progress!
Coffee anyone?
This coffee table is off to its new home.
It’s a features a large square top, and storage underneath accessible on two sides.
It may look unfinished but as per our clients request no finish was applied.
They are taking a do it your self approach with the finishing touches, and plan to stain and finish it themselves….. once a final color has been chosen that is!
We love the building process here, but we also like how you guys take our work, and piece it into your homes!
Do you have a dog?
Does your dog have a wardrobe of its own? A collection of adventure gear?
We here at Fallsview know the price tag associated with a lot of this gear, so we came up with “gear displays”.
These display racks are perfect for showcasing your pups gear. Also they are great for keeping everything in one place for easy finding.
The awesome thing about these is that they are fully customizable.
Size, color, design, it’s all up to you.
We can have more hooks, less hooks. A personalized name plate or a Moto you live by. One hanging bar, maybe two, maybe none! It’s all up to you!
So don’t keep that expensive gear shoved in a basket or drawer no more, send us a message and let get something started for you and your pup today!

Harvested. Sawed. Dried. Planned. Stained. Installed.
That’s the journey of this Maple Live Edge Floating Mantle.
This was a custom piece done to help modernize their living room, after some renovation including the removal of a propane fireplace and replacing it with the mindedness electric one.
The mantle accents the walls on either side perfectly, or really brought everything together.
I will be honest, when the black stain was requested at first I hated it, but it has since grew on me! Not only does it fit the space perfectly. But the grain of the wood still was able to be seen after the stain dried it.
The knots and cracks were filled in with some clear resin to give it a nice even surface.
And it was finished of with a layer of topcoat to make sure it will last for years to come.
—————————————————-
We’ve been working hard on a custom table.
The birch logs you see here were chosen by the client to be used as the legs of the table to give it a unique look and feel.
We stripped the bark off them, but we left the knots as requested. We were hesitant at first but when we cleaned them up and sanded off any points, the decision to keep them was clearly the best choice.
In the background you can get a sneaky peak at the table top!
The next steps for both table top and the legs is off to be stained!
CEO Axel is making sure to oversee all the decisions and quality control, so far he approves of the legs!

Another cutting board out the door…. Well it’s been out the door for a while, but the recipient hadn’t received there gift till now!
We once again used out lovely maple - the natural color of this wood is just beautiful.
We used a black resin with silver mica powder to give it a nice shimmer.
Finished off with a nice protective top coat to give this cutting board the ability to serve for years to come.

We had to wait a little while to post this as to not ruin the surprise, but…..
This is a custom live edge shelf going to someone’s very special Dad.
This piece is going to finish off the Basement Rec Room and be partnered with the very loved dart board.
On the surface of this shelf you will see 6 small holes, this was a special request so that when not being played the darts could be showcased, and not lost!
It is spruce, finished a clear glossy top coat!
We hope we did Santa proud with this piece, and that it’s loved by many who dare to challenge the recipient at darts!

Where are Santa’s elves when you need them!
We are busy in the shop with a few projects on the go, and with a few gone out the door just this morning.
Our biggest project is the custom live edge maple table. I absolutely love the grain on this piece, it’s stunning. I can’t wait for it to be finished.
There are a few knots along the slabs but they will be filled with epoxy to leave the table with a smooth finish. The client is spending some time mulling over the decision to go with a clear resin, or something with a little more pop, such as a red to match the stain color.
—————————————————————
After the snow yesterday we are really getting into the spirit! We even spent some time dabbling with some new ideas.
This porch sign says what we are are thinking, let it snow!
While this may not look like anything yet, In the coming days these rough maple slabs will be turned into a beautiful table.
Our client is looking at a 38” by 6’ live edge table, stained with a reddish color, we have the Minwax Sedona Red on our radar for this custom, just have to do a few test to make sure the color is what we are hoping for.
I still marvel at how we harvested this tree of a family farm where so many memories have been made and are turning it into a beautiful piece where more memories will be made around it.
Stay tuned for updates as we progress with this project!
Finally was able to demold this tonight!
I’m loving the purple with the light maple!
The photo seems to make the resin look bubbly, but I assure you this is not the case, the resin didn’t bubble at all!
It’s still very much rough and next stop is a trip through the planner!
————————————————
A quick update on the pour from the other day!
It has settled nicely with no bubbles!
The beautiful light purple colouring really isn’t being done justice in this photo!
Only a few more days and we will be able to pop this bad boy out of the mold.
Any color suggestions for the next pour? I’m leaning more towards a black.
It will be another maple slab used, but I may stain it dark first! So many options!
What does everyone think I should do?
Just a late evening pour
The video really doesn’t do the color justice. It’s between a lilac and lavender, and absolutely stunning!
I can’t wait to see it removed from the mold.
Once again maple slabs were used for the piece. I’m really starting to like working with maple. It’s not a wood I’ve been exposed to a whole lot as it’s hard to find in Newfoundland, I’m so happy I found my connections on Prince Edward Island to get this.
Here’s the almost finished product from our post a few days ago!!
This river cutting board turned out better then expected! The light natural color of the maple is really accented by the blue used to color the epoxy!
This river is also semi transparent, mirroring a real river, and really plays with the light well.
Now just a coat of a clear finish and this beautiful piece will be out the door!
—————————————————————
It may look like a mess now, but in a little while with a little work, these goopy pieces of wood will be turned into a beautiful river cutting board!
For this cutting board two pieces of Maple, harvested on Prince Edward Island, were used along with R-cast epoxy coloured a light transparent blue.
We have high hopes for the outcome and are excited to show the final project.
We’ve been pretty quiet lately here at Fallsview, and I’d love to be able to give you guys a story, but really all I have to say is life.
Anyway we are back! And we are going hard!
Here you see a custom dog bed we recently made! This one measures at 30” x 40” and sits just an inch of the ground.
We know more then anyone after a winter of wet snowy dogs that beds can get musty and gross. So why not treat the furbabes to a custom bed frame to go with a fresh spring bed!
Maybe your furchild has a bed that you can’t part with that’s okay too! Just send us some dimensions and we’ll do the rest!
These also work great for our feline friends as well.
Pets big or small we can make whatever you need.
Let us hook your four legged friends up with some fresh style this spring! Send us a message today!
These beds will come stained in a color of choice, as well as a protector finish in your choice matte or gloss.
Update: THANK YOU EVERYONE! HE HAS BEEN FOUND!
Although dirty no worse for wear, we appreciate the support immensely!
One of our boys has wandered away this afternoon, we extent a call for help from our followers to bring hime home!
Please share this and keep an eye out in the Bishops Falls Area for Polar.
He’s a nuetered HuskyX. He’s very friendly and respond very well to food and loves to go in the car!
If you see him or have any info please contact us!
Here at Fallsview we more then anyone know the importance of a shed. Not only must it hold your worldly possessions; tools, quads, Skiddos, bikes, those Christmas lights that always come out in a tangle, this winters wood, the beer bottle stock pile.
But it must also be a place for yarns, drinks with friends, a place to question the sanity of putting that turbo kit on the skiddoo (this one comes from personal experience), a place to enjoy the warmth of a wood stove. It’s where the best stories are told. And where some of the best memories are made.
There’s so much more to a shed then just being a storage shed. So let us here at Fallsview give you a shed worth a k-rock five star shed sign.
A shed that will stand to the test of Newfoundland’s weather.
A shed that will withstand even the more rambunctious shed party go-ers.
A shed that will be the envy of the neighbors and your friends.
A shed worthy of the people you have inside it.
We are wishing our latest client, Gary, all the best in the years to come with his new shed. May the memories be sweet, and the drinks cold.
Call us, or message us to chat about your new shed. Our list is growing. But we will always make time for those that support our small growing business.

Have you ever hear the expression “The Fondest Memories Are Made When Gathered Around The Table”
Well it’s a motto we like to live by here at Fallsview. Whether it’s those special holiday meals with loved ones, or those crazy nights with friends, or the entertaining game nights with the kidlets, they all are centred around one thing, the table.
So why not let us give you a table worth centring around. A place for family and friends to gather. A place to entertain or relax. A place for dinner or for a art project or work or play. Let’s us give you that show stopping fictional piece you need.
There’s always a spot around our table for you. Just give us a shout and let us help make those memories.
We can’t wait for the memories to be made around this debarked live edge table. 6ft in length, 30inchs high, seems like it’s time to play a round of how many friends can we fit.
Stained and finished off with Min wax poly clear satin to ensure it has long life span no matter what goes on.

What have you been up to lately?
We have been taking a house of an older generation into the chic 21st century to fit that of its owner.
We have replaced the bottom siding with some nice new stone veneer, fixed up some loose/missing spots. And a few other little things. These simple changes really do bring a breath of life into the place.
We hope home owner Cameron, and his pupper Chase love it as much as we do.
2020 is a year of change. Let us help make your change be one for the better. Contact us today with all your Reno needs.

Tired of things on the floor? Why not get a shelf!! Like this finished live edge floating shelf!
Again, like everything we do, customization can be made to fit your space.
Longer? Shorter? Darker? Lighter? No problem, just let us know and we’ll get it done for you.
We have been a bit quiet here at Fallsview lately, but hey cut us some slack, there’s a pandemic on the go. All jokes aside we do hope this post finds you healthy and happy in the ongoing issues of today.
We are happy to say we are on the go again, with a few different things in the works!
We were out on a supplies run, and Axel, of course, tagged along, he is quality control after all, and everything that we role out has to receive two paws up before it’s ready for our clients.
Stay tuned for some updates on our progress! Maybe even a little more Axel.

Has anyone ever been in the situation where you have a nice steaming hot casserole dish or pot and no where to put it for fear of ruining you table top or counter? Can’t find a dishcloth to set it on? Hate the look of most pot holders?
We’ve been there we can relate. We can also relate to the women in our life’s chastising is because we set that hot pot or dish down on the counter.
We are here to provide you with a rustic style, well crafted option for those hot pots and dishes.
We can customize the size and color for you to match your decor and needs. We want this to be something your proud to display.
Maybe you don’t need one yourself. But maybe that wedding for your cousin is creeping up and you don’t have any idea what to get? Or that housewarming party that’s creeped up on you?
Maybe you even need one as an I’m sorry gift for putting that black burn mark on your grandmothers dinning room table? Or after you singed your mother in laws brand new counter tops.
There’s lots of reasons to let Fallsview make one of these potholders custom for you.
And yes the food that was in these dishes previous to the photos was delicious.
This is what it’s all about.
Having people love the product you give them.
Thank you Sue! We are so glad you loved your food box!
Remember those spring colors?
Well here is what they were for.
When we say Fallsview has gone to the dogs we won’t be lying. Shown here is the frame for a dog agility jump.
We have two very excited boys ready to start training with this. There may even be a novice title in the near future for one of them.
Do you know anyone who is involved with dogs? Or maybe you need a new way to excersize your own? Send them our way! And we’ll get something perfect made up for them.
There may be a few more agility obstacles in the making at Fallsview. Will one be yours?
Do these colors not scream spring.
This project is most deffinetly more on the Random side and we are excited to show you once it’s done!
-Chris, Jon, and Team
With a current project when it came to stain color, we were just told lighter then the pictured product.
That didn’t satisfy us, we want to make each product to your wishes.
So here is some of the shades for the brand of stain which we prefer to use.
Don’t worry if you seen a color you like in a different brand. We are flexible. This is just a quick visual guide to help you guys see what color tickles your fancy.

More Reno updates!
The Harry Potter Closet is no more!
Sadly no Hogwarts letters were found. I guess we will just have to keep waiting for that to come.
-Chris, Jon, and Team
So this is the Harry Potter closet.
Is this not the most random closet you’ve seen.
To give you some insight. This closet is in the dining room. Right above the basement stairs. It has a build in set of shelves and a desk.
Honestly if Harry Potter lived in the closet above the stairs rather then under it, this would be it.
Three words for this. Has. To. Go.
Maybe a quick “Reducto” will cut demolition time. 🧙♂️
Maybe we will finally find our wizarding school letter hidden behind this shelf? Anything is possibly when doing home Reno’s.
