Talked one of the Topeka West greats to come back and speak with the girls today Coach Mike Goehring. Svaty came a day last week ( didn’t get group photo😢). Even had the famous Softball coach Lori Booher swing by last week.l

Today is our last practice before sub-State and we head to Emporia tomorrow. These girls have worked so hard and ended last week with two big wins. They have more wins this year then any team since 2003. That is all because these girls have worked hard and have trusted the process.
SENIORS enjoy your last Sub -State and NOW let’s go do something else Lady Chargers Basketball have not done in a very long time. GET THAT WIN TOMORROW!!!

Dan Key Farmers Insurance is happy to announce this week's Male and Female Rising Stars. Ja'Corey Robinson from Highland Park and Imani McGlory from Topeka West have been chosen as this week's Rising Stars!

🏀 A 6-foot-5 junior, Robinson recorded three straight double-doubles in the Topeka Invitational Tournament, helping lead third-ranked (Class 5A) Highland Park to a runnerup team finish. Robinson scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 77-44 first-round win over Lawrence, scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 67-52 semifinal victory over Shawnee Mission North and had 16 points with 15 rebounds in Saturday's 64-61 championship-game loss to eighth-ranked (6A) Wichita Northwest.

🏀 A 5-foot-6 sophomore guard, McGlory scored a career-high 29 points while connecting on seven 3-pointers in Topeka West's 55-36 home United Kansas Conference win over Leavenworth Friday night, helping the Chargers improve to 4-5 overall and 3-5 in the UKC. McGlory also hit three 3-pointers in limited time in the junior varsity game, giving her 10 three's on the night.

Congrats to Ja'Corey and Imani and thank you to Dan Key for providing a platform to celebrate local high school athletes.

Imani received the Rising star of the week award!!! Thank you Dan Key recognizing Imani and her hard work.

C team starts us off Monday night 6:00 and 7:30 at Topeka High. (They play Wednesday in Manhattan but no schedule yet)
Varsity Tournament starts Thursday 8:15 at Seaman playing Wichita South. Will play again on Friday and Sat.

Great games tonight!!!! Defense was huge tonight. C ,JV and V with 3 big wins tonight 29 points by Imani McGlory 7 3’s and 14 points by Rebecca Bearman to finish the night off.

Boys and Girls Basketball scheduled to play tonight at Piper High School has been postponed. The make-up game will be held on February 1, 2024.

Boys Bowling scheduled to compete at the Free State Invitational today has been postponed. Make-up date TBA.

No practices today due to weather and road conditions across town
