I’m thrilled to announce additional class offerings Monday 745pm in South Etobicoke - 427/Bloor location!

Classes start Oct 3 7:45pm!
Gentle/accessible yoga for ALL bodies!

Oct 3- Intro to Hatha - a gentle intro to hatha yoga.

Oct 10- Intro to Sun Salutations - a gentle introduction to Classic Surya Namaskar.

Oct 17- Warrior Round Up - a gentle sequence introducing the asymmetrical warriors.
**this class requires a 3 person minimum**

Oct 24 - closed for elections (this space is used as a voting location)

Oct 31 - No class - Halloween 👻

Nov 7- Balancing & Backbends - a gentle introduction to some balancing and backbend postures with lots of props and variations!

Nov 14- Intro to Flow - a gentle sequence in which we will use breath and movement to gently flow through the postures we learned in the classes before.

This sequence is perfect for those who are brand new to yoga, looking to re-start their practice, or for any one looking to come back to the beginners mind. This class is perfect for all ages and for EVERY BODY!! You do not need to be any particular size/weight or have any certain level of flexibility. You don’t have to worry about whatever you think a yoga body is or looks like. If you have a body, you have a yoga body!! In this class we will go over each posture slowly and mindfully, where I will guide you through basic posture set up and guide you in ways to make any posture feel comfortable and accessible in your body wherever you are today!

You will see me using 2 yoga blocks and a mat at every practice, I encourage you to bring your own yoga props if you have them.

No mat? No blocks? No problem!! There will be 3-4 yoga mats and 3-4 sets of yoga blocks available for use! Please ensure you request a set to use at time of registration so I can make sure I reserve one for you as I have limited extras at this time.

**** Sanitizing measures are in place before and after each use ****

There are no single use plastics allowed at this studio! So please bring your own reusable water bottle, should you wish! There is a water fountain to refill your bottles!

Welcome to One’s Own Yoga!

My goal with One’s Own yoga is to hopefully help others cultivate their own yoga and self love journeys, because no two bodies or practices are alike!

I’m Tee (she/her) RYT200 - yoga teacher and owner of 🧘‍♀️
How did I get here? Well, this might be a long read but it’s so worth it!

My yoga journey began in early January of 2020. I found yoga at a time in my life where I needed to find a connection with myself again. Mom of 2 littles, working full time, wife, daughter, friend…. My cup was empty. It’s impossible to continually fill others cups when you are not filling your own. After another recommendation from my best friend, I decided to try yoga! I immediately fell in love with at home yoga and started to practice daily. However, I quickly realized that certain postures were not accessible in my body. I tried to google some yoga postures but a lot of what showed up wasn’t helpful for my body. So I dove deep into researching how to make yoga work in my body. I was surprised to find so many amazing humans who taught yoga, made videos, wrote books, and uplifted others everyday with accessible yoga in so many variations of bodies that looked similar to mine! My passion for yoga and accessible yoga for every body grew rapidly. I found SUPyoga the next summer and reclaimed my space on the water, long since put to the side for fear of how I looked to others.

YOGA CHANGED MY LIFE 🙏 It has allowed me to find self love, body acceptance, and allowing myself grace for where I’m at in my body each day. It’s my self care and self love time. It’s my time in which I can joyfully and mindfully move my body. It’s allowed me to find my breath, and start my meditation journey.

I knew I wanted to share my passion of yoga with others so I decided to go for it and take a leap of faith! So, please join me on this new, crazy journey and learn with me as I am now a certified YOGA TEACHER🌞
