As of now, we only have 7 people signed up for our tour of the gardens. We need 30 seats filled by this Monday, June 17th to make this trip a go!

⭐️Invite your friends and family! As of now, anyone should be able to get a seat on the coach bus. Don’t miss out on this wonderful day out with fellow plant lovers!

Exciting News!

On July 18th, B.A.D Buds will be taking our annual bus trip to tour some beautiful gardens in the Milwaukee area, and you’re invited!

The group will be leaving from Green Bay on a coach bus to tour Labyrinth Gardens in Milwaukee, the Sanger House in West Bend (lunch will be provided here), and Will Radler’s beautiful Rose Gardens (he is the hybridizer of the Knockout Rose). Our final stop will be at Kopp’s Custard to enjoy some treats and chat with friends about our day.

Seats on the bus are limited, members get first dibs, then guests will fill in afterward. Trip fee is $42 for members, $52 for guests (this is an excellent time to become a member!).

SIGN UP CUTOFF IS JUNE 17th.

Hello everyone! Our next member meeting is Saturday, April 13th at 12:30PM in the downstairs room of the Green Bay Botanical Gardens. If you are interested in seeing what our group is about but are not a member yet, you are more than welcome to join us!

This is a potluck meeting, so please come prepared with a dish to pass. Hamburgers will be provided by the Board.

Our speaker for the day is University of Wisconsin Agriculture Agent Scott Reuss. He will be discussing how to manage the soils of our daylily gardens, as well as the pests and diseases that plague them. Questions are encouraged!

We hope to see you on the 13th!

Annual meeting, meal, and guest speaker on Saturday, November 11th, 11am - 4pm.

We are welcoming back Spring and happy to announce the return of our Daylily Auction. This event will help you to kick start a new season of gardening and is open to the public, taking place this Thursday, May 5th at Green Bay Botanical Garden
We will begin with a short meeting for our group at 6 p.m.and the auction will take place shortly after that at 6:30-9 p.m.
On the auction block are the following cultivars from our GBBG gardens. There will be photos of each and a description for all to preview what you will be bidding on. We will also have additional types than listed here that will be from our members. We will have 3-4 fans of each ready to come home with you if the price is right. Daylilies are starting to spring from the ground everywhere you look. Whose ready for the return of these cheerful blooms and a blissful day of watching them bask in the sunshine?

An American Hemerocallis Society Member Club- The B.A.D. Buds are an informal group of gardeners with diverse backgrounds and interests. In addition to growing and/or hybridizing daylilies, many of us also grow hosta, iris, roses, and numerous other perennials. Our group meets approximately eight times a year to share information about the growing and hybridizing of daylilies, listen to national and regional speakers, tour gardens, provide opportunities to purchase and also win daylilies, and generally just enjoy the company of others who are interested in daylilies.

In partnership with the Green Bay Botanical Garden we also maintain six garden beds in which over 200 daylily cultivars grow and bloom.

We began meeting on a regular basis in 1999 and were granted 501(c)(3) tax exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service in 2005.
