Join us for a one of a kind adventure amidst one of our rustic & remote locations here in the heart of the South Island... Lake Ohau Quarters will be our home of growth & transformation for this weekend!

We were all born as wild souls, and through the course of time, amidst societal & cultural pressures, we have lost touch with that divine source within us. Call it your feminine, your inner goddess, your passion, your purpose, your essence.... that feeling inside that drives your creative life force and makes you, uniquely you.

See yourself through another person's eyes and witness the beauty & fierceness that you hold. Share your stories and hear others as we hold space for each other. Learn from incredible coaches, guest speakers, healers, and educators.

Located at the edge of Lake Ohau, The Quarters is our home in the back country for 3 days as we dive deep into what it is to Rewild, to find what has been lost and begin that journey of transformation, self discovery & reconnection. Connect with nature, disconnect from wifi/cell phone reception, enjoy the rustic beauty of the high country, bathe in the ancient forests of Temple Valley and revive your connection to the wild. Warm cosy fires to keep us toasty, beautiful nourishing meals provided by our in house chef & master foragers Abby & Mat of Bush to Buffet, and experience amazing connections & powerful transformations to be made throughout the weekend.

We customise this experience to suit each group that attends making each retreat we run incredibly unique!

For those with horses, you can bring your bestie to this retreat and get photos with your horse if you're keen! PM us for details.

The investment in yourself for this 3 day/ 2 night weekend of transformation is all inclusive. Your food/drink is provided by our in house professional chef, accomodation on site, 30 min photo session on location including minimum 20+ fully edited photos, and access to all of the experiences & workshops.

Optional add-ons to think about once you decide to book in & we can discuss at the time:

$180 - Makeup & Hair Styling for your Rewild Portrait Session
$85 - Reiki Session / 1 hour
$85 - Massage Session / 1 hour
$75 - 1:1 trauma informed counseling session

If you need help getting to the venue, get in touch and we can see how we can help. The venue is easily accessible by car, and we do often have carpool options available.

If this is all resonating with you and you'd like to book in, let us know by messaging here on the page or email the facilitator/host Kassandra Lynne at [email protected]

The Investment in Yourself:

This is an invitation to reflect on your access to resources and privilege, the value of the work put into these retreats and what you'll get out of it, what you can genuinely afford, and what you might pay for in a comparable retreat experience. By committing to what is truly within your means you make it possible for others to show up within theirs and we are all grateful for this:

1st Tier - $1775- For those who are financially well-resourced, pay it forward pricing that allows us to offer a scholarship spot on this self discovery experience.

2nd Tier - $1575 - For those on medium incomes and access to financial

3rd Tier - $1375 - For those on low incomes, caring responsibilities and from marginalized communities. Flexible payment plans available.

Scholarship applications for this event will be open in February 2024. Stay tuned. Only 1 space available at this stage for scholarship.

We will be keeping this event intimate and limiting spaces to only 10 women max.

Today's post is shared from my inspiring friend Jane Pike of Confident Rider & Jane Pike: Writing & Poetry ... Love the sentiment here as she breaks down what this phrase really speaks to:

"Birds coast when they can."

"Now, as you travel through your day, really pay attention to the birds you see as they move through the air. Even the tiniest bird, with the smallest of wings, will have moments of suspended rest.
Moments not only of surrender, but of expectation; expectation that the currents around them, the landscape they are a part of will carry them for part of their journey.

Birds coast where they can is a reminder to let yourself be supported.

A reminder to look for opportunities for ease, and where you, yourself, may be complicating things in a way that isn’t necessary. Doing too much for what is required.

The experience of allowing yourself to be carried wherever it’s possible is what makes the experience of flight- of life- sustainable. It doesn’t prevent the moment forward; it’s an intrinsic part of it." - Jane Pike / Confident Rider

My thoughts:

How many of us find it hard to reach out for support or really lean into it? Hands up if that's you! Me too. I've gotten better at it over the years and I am grateful for the solid team I have around me but I'm often still finding myself making things more complicated than they need to be.

The over thinking, the what ifs, elements of micro management overshadowed by a lack of trust that someone or something will come to carry me for part of my journey. On the flip side of that, I have this insurmountable trust in the universe. That everything in fact, will be ok, so long as I get out of my own way. That silly old chestnut!

This surrender & expectation that you can take flight towards whatever your dreams may be is so integral to leading a live well lived. If we continue to flap our wings and never coast, we'll burn out and come crashing down. It doesn't mean you stop what you are doing but that you trust in the bigger picture. That what you are working towards is a part of the collective dream, a interconnected way of being.

How can you create space for sustainability & a opportunity to surrender in your life?

🪶

"The land knows you, even when you are lost. "
- Robin Wall Kimmerer

All things are interconnected and even when we may feel disconnected or disoriented in life, the land or the place you're in has a way of recognising you, as if it holds a memory of your presence.

Our connection to nature runs deeper than we might realise. There is healing in nature. There is comfort. A sense of belonging. Of acceptance & nurturing. It can offer guidance, reminding us that we are not alone.

Do you spend time in nature? In your garden? Do you walk with your bare feet in the grass or deep the sand between your toes? Do you feel invigorated by the cool waters of the river, lakes and oceans?

Rewild is a sense of not only coming home to you, but coming home to this wild nature within & around you. She is waiting for you, are you ready to embark on the adventure? Let's find our wild together.

2024 has some awesome workshop weekends in store for you... Shoot us a message if you're keen to come along 🌱

Kia ora friends 🌿

Due to unforseen circumstances, some of our team and participants for next week's event have experienced a significant loss in the family. We are all feeling the weight of this tough time and with that we recognise that we want to always be able to bring 100% to our Rewilding expeditions. After much deliberation & with a heavy heart, we have decided to postpone next week's Rewild Women's Retreat: The Catlins to March 15th-17th 2024.

Take this time dear friends to light a candle for the ones who have come before us, the ones we have loved & lost. Give thanks for the moments we've cherished, the here & the now. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected, sending love to you all.

Reach out if you'd like information on the March retreat or follow the link in bio for all upcoming events. We look forward to bringing the magic back for you in 2024.

Change is inevitable, yet, if you're anything like me, you know how challenging it can be to step out of the cocoon of familiarity and venture into the unknown. It's as if we are tethered to our daily routines and habits, bound by an invisible force that makes change seem like an insurmountable mountain to climb.

I've often found myself at this precipice, looking out at the vast expanse of possibilities that beckon beyond my comfort zone. There are times when I throw myself at it like a hang glider off a cliff, and others where I do that funny run to jump off a cliff into the water thing and stop at the last second. Fear stops me from jumping into those waters.

So what is it that makes us resistant to change?

Perfection, that elusive and seductive siren, has a paradoxical hold on us. It promises excellence, but more often than not, it becomes the very obstacle to progress. I've witnessed this paradox play out in my own life, where the desire for perfection sometimes leads to stagnation, rather than growth.

Procrastination, my ever-present companion, thrives on the fear of imperfection. It whispers sweet excuses in my ear, convincing me to put off the inevitable and go do the laundry or any other task but the one at hand. These distractions, in all their modern forms, parade before me, offering solace from the discomfort of change.

Resistance to change isn't unique to me—it's a shared human experience. We all have our reasons for resisting, whether it's the fear of failure, the comfort of the status quo, or the overwhelming sense of the unknown. It's in these moments of resistance that we must ask ourselves, "Why?"

Perhaps the antidote to perfectionism lies in embracing the concept of "good enough." It's not about settling for mediocrity but recognising that perfection is an ideal we can never truly attain. Instead, we can strive for progress, acknowledging that imperfection is a vital part of the journey. Yeah sure, you may fail, but that's where the greatest lessons lie in life. Our failures & our response to them is a part of what shapes us into who we are today.

What are you resisting right now? Is it a career change, a creative pursuit, a new relationship, or perhaps something as simple as a healthier lifestyle? Reflect on those areas of your life where the desire for perfection may be holding you back.

It's time to take action. Break down your goals into manageable steps, seek support from those who've walked a similar path, and remember that change is a process, not a destination. All that lovely dopamine supplies us on the journey, if all you're worried about is the end goal, you might be a bit dissapointed when you get there. Embrace imperfection as a badge of courage, signaling your willingness to learn and get s**t done!

I was at my doctor's office the other day and we started discussing health & wellness as we do. She's not your average run of the mill doc, more on who she is coming soon...But she's an incredible advocate for healthy foundations. She said to me yesterday that we need a wellness system, not a sickness system. By the time people arrive at the hospital or something similar, they are already dealing with the symptoms of a dis-ease that has been long in the making. There are so many contributing factors and so many ways in which we can actually prevent dis-ease, however that shows up for us. More on this soon I promise!

At Rewild Retreats, we wholeheartedly embrace this wisdom. Our mission goes beyond a simple escape; it's about nurturing a profound connection with yourself and the world around you.

🎨 Through creative expression and art therapy, we guide you on a journey of self-discovery. You'll tap into your inner artist, exploring the depths of your emotions and thoughts in a supportive, nurturing environment.

🏞️ Outdoor adventures, though challenging, are a gateway to self-realization. We push boundaries, helping you discover your untapped potential and the incredible feats you're capable of achieving.

🔄 Our approach to wellness is 360°. We don't just focus on connecting with nature, spirituality, and creativity; we address your holistic well-being. From nutrition to environmental awareness, from mindful breathing to trauma healing, we leave no stone unturned.

🥗 Nourish your body with wholesome nutrition, creating a solid foundation for your well-being.

🌍 Understand the impact of your environment and learn to harmonize with it.

🌬️ Harness the power of breath to enhance your mental and physical vitality.

🌱 Embark on a journey of healing, releasing the burdens of the past and embracing a brighter, more vibrant future.

Join us at Rewild Retreats, where we journey together upstream, exploring the depths of your true self while forging an unbreakable connection with self, nature and a thriving, holistic approach to wellness.

☕️ Settle in and let's share a special moment together. We're beyond thrilled to bring you a peek into the magic of our Rewild Women's Retreat in Tamatea/Dusky Sound earlier this year. So grab your cuppa, find your comfy spot, and let's dive into this adventure!

📸Picture this: a journey that's not just a trip, but a soul-stirring experience tailored just for you. Our full immersion Rewild Retreat: A Self Discovery Expedition isn't just your typical getaway—it's a deep dive into self-discovery, empowerment, and reconnecting with your authentic essence. Trust me, it's more than a journey; it's a transformation & a truly life changing experience.

🤝Here's the deal: Our amazing team of health pros are here to support you. We spend one-on-one time with you in the months leading up to our incredible Dusky Sound adventures to help you navigate the challenges or crossroads you may be facing so that you can be the captain of your own waka. It's an investment that sparks real, lasting change in your life & delivers the fresh perspectives you need to approach the inevitable curveballs that life throws our way.

🌱Believe me, it's worth every moment and every penny.

❤️Being a non-profit, we were very lucky that our promotions reached overseas to the amazing Liz Ornitz of Brooklyn, New York. She reached out to us in November of last year asking if we might be interested in doing a trade as she is a documentary videographer. After going back and forth and figuring out logistics, we got her over here to Aotearoa and she embarked on this incredible Rewild journey with us. We didn't have a huge plan of attack for this video, but primarily wanted to capture the essence of this experience and what it is to Rewild. I think we nailed the brief folks. 👌

🙏This self discovery expedition would not be possible without the collective collaboration of all involved. Thank you to the crew at Wild Fiordland for catering to our Rewild shenanigans and being our guides into the magic that is Tamatea/Dusky Sound. Especially to Fi for being the most amazing captain getting me into position to capture amazing portraits of these women in the wild during crazy southerly storms, heavenly golden hours & precarious low tides. To Jimmy at Freestone Lodge for accommodating us the night before departure and on our return so we could ease ourselves out and back into civilization. To the team here at Rewild Retreats...Tracey Loughran our amazing naturopath, Kay Poulter our Hakomi informed therapist and loving support helping me get things ready for this trip.. Ana Moser-Caley for delivering the goods with makeup & hair styling on a boat, it was a challenge that she accepted & executed with grace. And to Liz for going above & beyond to help us capture these moments in time. Last but not least, to the incredible group of women who trusted the process & adventured into the unknown with me , this trip is something that will forever be etched into my heart & I am so grateful to have been your guide on such an experience.

⛵If you are interested in jumping aboard the waka for our next self discovery expedition, we set sail again on the 25th February 2024. The journey starts well before that as we do a lot of the inner mahi in the months leading up to this experience. We have a few spaces left on this trip, so get in touch now if you're keen to join us! Payment plans available. Tiered Pricing available. If we can sell enough spaces on this trip, we can offer a scholarship as well. So let's make it happen.
