Flower & Paper
sharing beauty with the world through lovingly handcrafted paper flowers ๐ธ
๐ฉ DM for commissions
My best bouquet so far ๐๐
This special arrangement was inspired by one of my favorite paintings: ๐ผ๏ธ Irises (1889) by Vincent van Gogh.
The colors look even more beautiful in person, especially the deep blue paper used for the three irises.
I wish I had more time to add details and paint the flowers, but Iโm already proud to have finished this despite my busy schedule.
Thank you to my loyal customer who commissioned this! Always happy to help people give meaningful gifts to their loved ones. ๐
Closing orders for February ๐
Commissions will open again in March!
There wonโt be a Valentineโs collection this year for F&P.
Iโve already accepted one order from a loyal customer and thatโs all I can accommodate for now.
Iโm excited to work on this project and canโt wait to share the process with you. ๐
See you again soon!
P.S. Hereโs the inspiration for what Iโm making. Can you guess who painted it? ๐
This year, I mostly made flowers that donโt exist in real life. ๐
My sisterโs cosplays were my biggest inspiration (hello Orangecarrot_!) and I enjoyed the challenge of recreating fictional flowers for her. I even learned to make hair accessories!
Going in this new direction, my focus shifted from bouquets and arrangements to making detailed individual flowers.
Sharing 3 things I learned in 2023:
๐ญ. ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น๐ ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ.
I started using Italian crepe paper and it was a game-changer! Iโve long hesitated to buy because of the expensive price, but itโs exactly what I needed to level up my designs.
Same with investing in tools like the right kind of glue and scissors to make crafting easier.
One flower a week is better than making 3 flowers in one sitting and ending up with strained hands.
My best arrangement so far took a month to create and assemble. One pair of hands can only do so much. (So no rush orders, please! ๐
)
At the end of the day, I do this for myself. Seeing people appreciate my work is only a bonus! I love the process of crafting and thatโs what matters.
No matter how many breaks I take from my crafting materials, I still find myself back at the table, cutting and coloring away, turning ideas into reality. โจ
Iโm thankful for the creative inspiration this year and Iโm excited to see what the next year will bring!
I'm still here! ๐
I haven't been posting lately, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up on this creative project of mine. It's just that Iโm on an extended social media break for several months now.
Hereโs what Iโve been up to since July:
โฟ Working on hair accessories for my Lumine cosplay + first attempt at a Glaze Lily. This is close to how I wanted the flowers to turn out and Iโm happy about it ๐ค
โฟ Trying out different paper weights. All flowers in this post are made from 180g Italian crepe paper which holds shape well and does not tear easily.
โฟ Elmerโs glue isnโt enough for heavier paper, so Iโm experimenting with all sorts of glue to know which ones work best. UHU glue is a favorite!
Despite many responsibilities, Iโm glad I still have time to squeeze in crafting sessions on weekends. Making paper flowers is something I truly enjoy and Iโm keeping this creative outlet open still.
๐ฉ P.S. My inbox is always open for commissions! I make custom paper flowers, both real and fictional ๐
Black and gold, shining under the sunlight ๐ค๐
And now for something different โจ
One of the best things about paper flowers is that you can use any color you want. A rose with gold petals and black leaves? Here it is!
This flower was inspired by Yor Forger's gold rose headband. I like the contrast between the metallic gold and her black hair so I came up with this color scheme. ๐ค๐
Cosplay prop or not, it already looks great on its own and in the future I'd like to make an arrangement based on these colors.
What unusual color combos would you like to see next? ๐ค

Sharing the process of making a Kalpalata Lotus from Genshin Impact, a big beautiful flower found on the cliffsides of Sumeru. ๐ชท
I used 180g italian crepe paper for the first time! Really love this shade of blue and how it went well with the darker blue soft pastel, similar to the flower's gradient colors.
While there's still room for improvement (especially the center), I think it's a good first attempt and I'm happy that Orangecarrot_ got to use it for her cosplay ๐
Appreciation post for my wonderful sister who inspires me to create flowers for cosplay! ๐
Here's some of her recent photos as Scaramouche/Wanderer from Genshin Impact with a Kalpalata Lotus that I made using crepe paper.

3 flowers for 3 days of CONQuest! ๐ธ
It's been all over the local news about how disorganized the convention was, but looking on the bright side, I got to showcase these custom flowers!

I designed them to complement the cosplays of Orangecarrot_ and myself and it felt great when people recognized what the flowers are. ๐
Since they were made of paper, I was worried that they would get damaged being carried around in crowds, but they survived! ๐คฃ
Now that I feel more confident to create cosplay flowers, I'm opening commissions for custom designs. DM if interested! ๐ฉ
Constantly amazed at how one can turn paper into beautiful (and meaningful) works of art ๐
Sharing another flower-making reel with you soon! ๐
A bunch of carnations make a pretty sight!
Even without foliage, these bright and colorful flowers bring a pop of color to any space (in this case, my crafting area โ๏ธ)
This pastel bouquet is my favorite from the latest batch ๐งก
Even with three carnations surrounding it, I like how the ombrรฉ peach rose remains the center of the arrangement, framed by the lavender stems on each side.

The lighting wasn't good today, so I'm delaying my Mother's Day bouquet posts. ๐
I poured out my creative energy this weekend to finish 4 arrangements, but I'm not satisfied with the photos I took. The too vivid colors don't accurately show how pretty these paper flowers are.
I'll try taking pictures again tomorrow! Hoping for nicer and warmer natural light โ๏ธ
P.S. These are all up for sale! If you're interested you can message me for prices and details. ๐ฉ
2 more weeks until Mother's Day...
and we're preparing new bouquets! ๐
I'm trying out new colors and flower combos that I hope you (and your loved ones) will love. โค
Stay tuned!
Double hibiscus ๐บ
I made this based on a tutorial by Gรณc nhแป Handmade, swapping the peach and yellow with white and pink to match with the vase arrangement.
A closer look at all the paper flowers from the white vase arrangement. I love how the colors go well together! ๐
I've been crafting more than I've been posting which explains why there weren't new posts this April. Since then, I've made new flowers and finished another bouquet.
It's been a great month filled with creative work and can't wait to show you my recent projects!

Kalpalata lotus by my crafter sis Flower & Paper
"I'll let you work your magic." โจ
Words every crafter wants to hear! Following a pastel theme, I made an arrangement of double hibiscus, roses, carnations, and lavenderโall made of crepe paper! Only the hydrangeas and the grass are dried flowers. ๐
For the main flower I wanted something tropical so I started making hibiscus (gumamela), but I came across the double hibiscus and found it perfect for this arrangement. ๐
This isn't something I finished in one weekend. I worked on this for almost a month, flowers first then leaves, slowly filling up the vase provided.
It feels great to finally finish this commission and I'm happy to share this with you. Hope this brightens up your day! ๐

Sweet and simple ๐
Paper carnations and lavender + dried misty and local grass
They make a pretty combo, don't you think? ๐๐
,
a closer look at three pink carnations ๐
3 carnations in 3 shades of pink ๐
I've wanted to make these for a long time but after watching tutorials I found out that carnations are actually complicated to make ๐
I even bought special scissors to save time cutting the edges. Although now I prefer manually cutting with craft scissors because the petals look more natural that way!
This set is based on a tutorial by ColorHand DIY. In the future I'll try out more ways to make them (especially the multicolored ones).
A calming color and a calming scent ๐
Of all the dried flowers I worked with, lavender is one of my favorites. Sadly, dried lavender loses color quickly especially in our humid climate.
Lucky that I found the right crepe to make these pretty paper lavenders shine bright throughout the year! โจ
In the first photo I'm holding all the studies I made based on tutorials, and the second photo shows the final template.
I'm happy to pair them with future arrangements! So excited to try something new ๐

Can you match the flower to the paper? ๐
Found this photo in my favorites folder and realized I've never posted it before! ๐ฎ
This was taken in March 2022 back when I was too hard on myself for not producing enough. Looking back, I can feel that I've grown past that stage and now creating flowers makes me happy without pressure to produce more.
From now on, I promise to post more about my work (not just keep them in my gallery). Beautiful photos like this one deserved to be shared!
