The Municipal Tourism Office is looking for qualified Caguyumanons to join the municipal wide-competition for BUGAL SANG PONTEVEDRA 2024 Season 4 - OPM Edition.

The competition will be on December 1, 2023, at 6PM at the Pontevedra Public Plaza.

Before we move forward, let's acknowledge our previous champions who have already represented us on the national stage ( Tawag ng Tanghalan sa It’s Showtime!)

👉🏻𝗕𝗨𝗚𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗜𝗭 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 (𝗢𝗣𝗠)
𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦

1. The competition is open to all Caguyumanon, ages fifteen (15) to sixty (60) years old.

2. All auditionees must be bona fide residents of Pontevedra Capiz. The official representative must secure a Birth Certificate and Certificate of Residency issued by the Punong Barangay to be submitted to the organizing committee on or before October 31. Failure to submit these requirements shall be subject to disqualification.

3. Students and workers who are temporarily residing outside Pontevedra are allowed to participate provided that they meet the criterion in Item No. 2 and comply all the requirements.

4. Auditionees shall choose any Original Pilipino Music (OPM) in the English or Filipino language for his/her piece. Songs containing profanity are not permitted and may result in immediate disqualification.

5. Musical accompaniment shall be in the form of minus-one. The duration of the performance must not exceed the duration of the chosen song.

6. Giving false information on the entry form is a ground for automatic disqualification without prior notice.

7. There will be a technical committee that shall take charge and monitors if violations are committed by every contestant that may result in automatic disqualification.

8. The Ranking system will be followed. In case of a tie, a point system will be used. If another tie arises using the point system, the contender who has the most number of the top ranks among the judges will be declared the winner by the Chairman of the Board of Judges. Questions or clarifications will not be entertained.

9. The decision of the Panel of Judges is final and irrevocable

10. This competition is only for Caguyumanons talent whose voice has not been recognized by any national, or international singing competitions.

As an advocate for Mental wellness through Music I had a chance to perform on stage together with the Capiz Children's Rondalla and aka The Musikeros during the 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑: 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐳 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟑𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐳 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭 at SM City Roxas. You guys are truly musical artists of the highest calling. Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of your soul—your music, to me, is like a whisper from God. I thank you for that.

Thank you so much, Capiz Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs, headed by Tatay Alphonsus Tesoro, for giving me a chance to be part of this amazing event. My heart and soul are full of joy.

Expressing my gratitude and salute to the Capiz Provincial Tourism Office headed by Sir Al Tesoro for letting me join with these kids, where I can express my advocacy to them, which is " Mental wellness through music."

It's truly an honor to meet Tatay Rudy Cata. He is one of the Capiz Masters in Hiligaynon folk song.

He is a native of Nagba and a pride of Cuartero, Capiz. I am an advocate for mental health and wellness through music.

Tay Rudy taught me the important techniques of composing a song. We had fun singing along, He shared his incredible story of how he started and what motivates him to do great and be a good example to everyone.

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation and say thank you to the Capiz provincial tourism office, for helping me express my advocacy to other people.
Most especially to Sir Al Tesoro, for giving me the opportunity to meet Tay Rudy in person.

Joshua recently won the title of Hari ng Pilipinas Lakan ng Kabataan last December 11,2022 in Ormoc City, Province of Leyte.

Azares will represent the Philippines in the inaugural Mr Youth international to be held in Bali Indonesia this coming May 9-14, 2023, together with them is the Manager and Provincial Director of Hari ng Pilipinas-Capiz, "Mark Kevin Balbona".

HNP LAKAN NG KABATAAN JOSHUA BERNABE AZARES

The ensemble was created by a Capiznon designer, Moses Beramo. He took inspiration from the power and the confidence that should exude from a Hari/King and reflected it to the silhouette of the design, translating those traits into an edgy and contemporary piece. The look was embellished with black beads forming a pattern of waves as the symbol of the rich ocean resources of Capiz and at the same time as sound waves that depict my love for music.
