Allow me to share with you something that I read from an article:

“Do any trees eat their own fruit? No. This teaches us that human beings should not only use their mind, body and speech for themselves, but also to serve others.”

Helping others gives me a sense of accomplishment. Knowing that I am able to provide solutions to people’s problems fulfills me.

Sabi nga ‘di ba, “Don’t just make a living, make a difference.”

It’s amazing how network marketing allows me to do both. I mean, it’s no secret na malaki ang pera sa networking. Aminin man natin o hindi, pero ‘yan ang pinaka-common na dahilan kung bakit sumasali ang mga tao.

Me? I decided to join Lifestyles, a network marketing company, because I saw the potential of the business. I have witnessed how my cousin’s life changed because of this opportunity.

Hindi ako magpapaka-ipokrito. Sumali ako kasi gusto ko ‘yong idea na kikita ako, na mabibigyan ko ng masagana at komportableng buhay ang pamilya ko.

But as time passed by, a question has evolved in my mind. Am I still doing this just for myself? The answer is NO.

Sabi ng iba, turn your weakness into strength. In Lifestyles, we turn our hurts into healing for others. Kung ano man ‘yang pinagdadaanan mo, ‘yan ang magpapaganda ng kwento ng buhay mo and sometimes, your pain can lead other people to purpose.

In my case, I want to let those college drop-outs like me to know that it is not the end of the world for them, that they can still be successful and live their purpose just like what I did.

Lahat tayo ay may problema. ‘Yung iba ay mga bagay na hindi natin kontrolado, ‘yung iba naman ay tayo na mismo ang gumawa. Kung ano man d’yan sa dalawa ang klase ng problema mo, don’t allow them to destroy your vision for the future.

3 REWARDS OF NETWORK MARKETING

1. Leveraging
- Distributors are paid not only from their personal sales but also from the sales of their downlines upon reaching a qualifying rank and/or volume.

Anong ibig sabihin nito? Kahit ilan pa ang nauna sa’yo, maaari mo silang (rank or income) mapantayan o higitan pa. Of course, this requires a lot of people skills and genuine service orientation on your part as a distributor.

2. Exponential income
- If each of the 6 people you sponsor would sponsor their own 6 serious-minded distributors, you would have 36 people on your second level, 216 on your third and so forth.

Anim na taong may sipag at pangarap lang ang kailangan mong tulungang tuparin ang pangarap para matupad ang mga pangarap mo.

3. Residual income
- Residual in tagalog is sobra. In other words, remaining, leftover or unused.

When I was still working in the corporate world, I experienced living paycheck to paycheck, worse, kulang pa. ‘Yung feeling na hindi mo pa nahahawakan ‘yung sweldo mo pero ubos na sa isip mo kasi naka-allocate na sa mga bayarin.

But when I joined Lifestyles 23 years ago, a network marketing company, naranasan ko nang magkaroon ng sobra. ‘Yung sobra na kayang ilibot ‘yung pamilya ko sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa. ‘Yung sobra na kayang mamahagi sa iba.

All of these are possible because I am with a company that has quality products and a compensation plan.

Karamihan sa atin ang tingin kapag networker, kailangan sociable ka. Tipong outgoing, eager, at kayang makipag-sabayan sa kahit kanino. Yeah, some of those people are really excellent networkers, but that’s not always the case.

SHY PEOPLE CAN BE EXCELLENT NETWORKERS. How? Well, networking is about being genuine and sincerely interested in others. We all know how quiet and introverted people can be very genuine and sincere. They usually like listening more than talking. At aminin man natin o hindi, as humans, we all love being heard.

Okay I get it, you’re shy. But remember this: Whatever you repeat, you reinforce. So, if you don’t go out of your comfort zone and talk to strangers, then the fear will continue or worse, increase.

Palaging sinasabi ng mga matatanda, “Walang mararating ‘yang hiya mo.” And honestly, it gets real as you grow older.

Hindi naman na bago sa inyo na undergraduate ako and that was the primary root of my insecurity. I lacked confidence to the point na akala ko, hindi ako papaniwalaan ng mga tao. Akala ko walang papansin sa akin and I thought I was not smart enough to be in such industry wherein talking and engaging to people is a must. Keyword? Akala. Akala ko lang pala lahat.

Now, I am even considered as a mentor and a coach. It feels really good that I get to inspire people through my story at sila mismo ay nagkakaroon din ng lakas ng loob.

So, please… Don’t hide your light because some people might need to see someone’s light before they will have the courage to light their own.

This can take time; however, it is worth it.
