***NEW SINGLE***

Stoked to announce that I have a new single coming out June 23. It’s a country song called “HITCHHIKER” in which a serial killer laments the dominance of interstate travel and expresses a preference for the highway. With parallel reasoning he voices a preference for serial killing over America’s dominate form of mass killing, mass shootings.

The song is the purest country song I’ve ever released. It also marks the end of my “red phase.” Excited to open up the color palette.

The Lackluster Resumé of an Unfit Suitor is out on all digital platforms. One of the things that was most important to me after finishing the album was to represent it visually in a way that expressed the mood of music. I knew I wanted the color to be red, and I had some reference images that I liked, but I had no idea how to execute the ideas.

A couple of months after moving back to New York post covid, I started noticing some amazing work by Jessie Coleman and we started conversations about how to make it happen. She brought the vision to life and sculpted it into something greater than my original ideas. Really grateful to have been able to work with her.

She has lots of great work! Check it out!

This photo was taken near Joshua Tree in an airbnb with a pink bathroom. The desert must be as close to Mars, the red planet, as humans have been. I like this photo to represent this album because it captures the feminine and masculine at once. This album is pumping with both. Happy listening and share songs you enjoy with one another. Love y'all and thank you.

The Lackluster Resume of an Unfit Suitor comes out Valentine’s Day as a joke. I realized at some point that I had a collection of songs that were about my failures at love and relationships. A lot of it reflects on an effort to try and sort myself out but continuing to find that I hadn’t. It’s not an anti-love album as much as it is a “how in the f*** do people do this?” or “I think I want this, but do I?” It was and is confusing to me.

These songs were written around the world–Korea, France, Spain, Alabama and New York–with wine, soju, beer, w**d and speed. I was in and out of relationships–carelessly moving about the world, selfishly leaving a trail of heartbreaks and pieces of myself wherever I went. I entered in and out of relationships irresponsibly with not enough regard for others. I’m painting it a little negatively here. Parts of it were amazing and created beautiful relationships, but in hindsight I was avoiding taking a serious look at myself and underestimated the consequences this would have on those I met along the way, and on myself.
