Hewlett Packard has announced its partnership with Ferrari as the new title sponsor, leading to the rebranding of the official team as Scuderia Ferrari HP in a “multi-year” agreement.

The distinct blue logo of the American technology company will adorn Ferrari’s F1 livery starting from the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, as well as feature on the team’s apparel and uniforms. This title sponsorship deal will also encompass Ferrari’s F1 Academy and esports programs.

This partnership represents a significant financial boost for Ferrari, similar to the impactful collaboration between Oracle and Red Bull, currently the most lucrative in F1.

A disappointing outcome for Daniel Ricciardo in the Chinese GP. The Australian was running well in the first half of the race but was taken out of contention during a restart by Lance Stroll. The Canadian driver from Aston Martin seemed momentarily distracted and ended up colliding with the rear of Ricciardo’s Visa RB car. Ricciardo was understandably furious with Stroll’s mistake.

It was a peculiar incident involving Lance Stroll. While race leader Max Verstappen was leading the restart, the entire field was gradually accelerating. Stroll seemed a bit too eager and wedged the nose of his Aston Martin underneath Daniel Ricciardo’s car. Stroll attempted to downplay the crash over the team radio, claiming that Ricciardo “slammed on the brakes like an idiot.” However, the stewards found Stroll at fault and imposed a 10-second penalty on him.

Red Bull Formula 1 team principal Helmut Marko has confirmed that the team is in talks with the Spaniard Carlos Sainz regarding a contract. “But he also has a very lucrative offer from Audi that we cannot overlook,” he says in the Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung.

Sainz will be without a contract at Ferrari after this year, as Lewis Hamilton moves over from Mercedes. The Spaniard, winner of this year’s Australian Grand Prix, previously stated that he would like clarity about his future in Formula 1 soon.

Young driver Kimi Antonelli had his debut in a Formula One car this week, completing a two-day test session at the Red Bull Ring.

Kimi, who is currently competing with PREMA in Formula 2, took the wheel of our W12 race car from 2021 in Austria.

“It’s been an incredible experience, it was really great to feel the power and downforce” said Kimi.

“I loved every second of it. It was really good fun and I want to thank all the team for all their hard work,” he added.

After covering 500 kilometers in the Styrian hills over two days, Kimi now shifts his focus back to Formula 2, where he currently holds the ninth position in the standings after the initial three rounds.

Notable highlights from the early stages of the F2 season include securing the second position in Qualifying in Australia and finishing fourth in the race.

According to , Ferrari’s upgrade package for Imola includes a reverse sidepod inlet reminiscent of Red Bull’s design, with unexpected gains prompting the addition of new sidepods and a delay in the package’s launch. The Imola package also involves a significant floor upgrade and a minor front wing revision, expected to improve downforce and aerodynamic efficiency by a tenth each. This marks the first of three major upgrades planned for 2024.
