Here’s a song that I released recently, Ci******es.

It’s about an East Texas woman, inspired by my grandmother Vicky. Every recollection I have of her, one way or another, includes honeybuns and the smell of ci******es. She was the kindest woman. It’s about times that are tough, and times of joy and cuttin up. It’s about someone who had a heart bigger than the world, but took hits in life and kept on going. Even made some decisions that weren’t the best, but you’d never know her strife and struggles from her kindness and infectious smile. For every drop of sorrow, she simply had a cup of joy to give back. And when you live life like that, I guess things ain’t half bad.

This is a season of family and joy, but for some a time of remembrance and tough season to get through for one reason or the other. Sometimes there isn’t a reason at all, and it just takes a toll on you.
This here song is about all of those things. I hope you can enjoy it.

I’d like to make a quick post about my wonderful girlfriend. I don’t do this nearly enough. But I am so grateful to have this beautiful woman in my life. No one is as personable, sincere, kind, loved and loving to others as she is. She’s such a blessing to me and everyone else around her. She brings me so much joy. Almost 9 months together… but a friend for years. I am so thankful for everything that she has done for me and continues to do for me. Thankful for every smile and laugh that we’ve shared mi amor. And we sure have a lot of those 🙂
