Heartbroken to report that Jennell Jaquays has passed after a lengthy struggle. For those not steeped in the RPG community as I am, Jennell was a legend of D&D as far back as 1979 with Caverns of Thracia and other Judges Guild books. she pioneered 'Jaquaysing the dungeon' a design philosophy of creating a more dynamic, non-linear and organic experience for adventurers/players. I was lucky to have her as a client and provided 8 drawings for her Central Casting project. She was a great boss who provided a plethora of style reference and had virtually no notes on my submissions. She was also a wonderful artist! Never an easy time to do so, she transitioned in 2011. My heart goes out to Rebecca Heineman and thank you for keeping us all updated. I can see from my fb timeline that she will be missed by a tremendous number of people

Todays 20 minute monster - juniper jermlaine jousting for jars of jujubes. Apparently these critters were based on the 1972 movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. Now that I've actually read the entry in the Fiend Folio I kind of want to use them in a D&D adventure.
