Got quite a surprise after removing the wainscot today on this job. Looks like a full lower wall replacement will be required!

Do you have water ponding next to your homes foundation and seeping into the lower level? You likely have a condition called “negative drainage”. A permanent fix will have to wait until the ground thaws out, but a temporary diversion channel can be made now to stop or greatly reduce the water entering your home. Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Randall Burgett. Let me tell you why I started Handy Randy of Winona!

Since 1988 I have inspected and estimated structural damage at over 40,000 homes in my pre-retirement role as an insurance adjuster. Homeowners would always ask me "Do you know someone who can makes these repairs?" Typically I could recommend several contractors based on the type of damage that was present. Often the conversation would then shift to other small problems they were having around the house. The homeowners would then ask me if I knew of someone who could assist them with these other small issues. Unfortunately my response was often "The task or job is really not big enough to be financially worthwhile for a contractor to come out and do for you". In retirement, I have decided to fill this void as Handy Randy. I am specializing in handling all the little things that no one else will come out and do for you. On top of that, I will come out the same day you call if time permits.
