𝐀: I am not against the housing authority, however, I am concerned about the amount of funds spent on administrative over-site. If the majority of the money used is tax dollars, as always, we must be intentional with projections and spending.

Additionally, community land trusts are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing permanent and affordable housing by eliminating the cost of the land from the speculative market. They strive to offer stable and affordable options for low income families. I believe this is beneficial for our county.

Our last fireside discussion was a huge success! Looking forward to another live Q&A, deep diving into what is important to our community members, and answer any questions you have!

On election day we need volunteers to help make calls to remind people to vote. We're hoping to get volunteers for 2 to 3 hour stents. We Also need runners that can go from the courthouse to the office downtown with the list of people who have voted so we can cross them off the list to call.

The current LDC that was wrongly implemented is flawed. It removes the rights of property owners and places too many restrictions that would otherwise allow for low or middle class to afford to live in our valley. It is not family or small business friendly.

The solution: produce a living LDC in sorts; giving it the ability to grow and adapt as needed by our community vs a solidified set of restrictions that read as a subdivisions CC&R's. Allow a reasonable process of a case by case basis. Community members, blue collar workers, entrepreneurs, and families should have the opportunity to survive and prosper in our community.

We were fortunate to have a good turnout and great conversations at Highpoint Cider Meet & Greet! A few topics of concern I am hearing regularly are inflation including the cost of property, the infringement of property rights with the new land development code, and not being heard by the current BOCC.
