This is Sekinat Muhamad Dalhatu. She was a beautiful 24 year old youth corp member serving in Katsina state.
She got her first degree in Chemistry Education at the Federal University Kashere. Her parents stay in Ungwar Dosa in Kaduna state.
She left Kaduna for Katsina on Tuesday, May 3rd after recieving a text message from a colleague that their monthly clearance would hold on May 4.
Sekinat however was involved in an accident 20 kilometers to Katsina in a village called Yar Kadir.
Their driver hit a pot hole which characterised the road, their tyre burst and the driver lost control of the vehicle making the front tyre to explode.
Sekinat died on the spot alongside four others.
The interesting thing about Sekinat Muhamad is, she wrote her will on April 17 during Ramadan.
She said her laptop should be given to her younger brother Khalifa Muhamad Dalhatu and her phone should be given to her younger sister, Zinatu and that the money she left with one Abdul should be given to her mother.
On the day she died, she entered every room in her father's house bidding them farewell.
May God give her family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amen/ Ameen.
Wole Soyinka has no moral right and ground to asked for removal of Prof. Ibrahim Maqari from the Imam of Central Masjid over the stupidity of Deborah in Sokoto.
Soyinka who was one of the pioneers that introduced "school cultism" into academic institutions of this country cannot be on a moral pedestal to asked for Maqari's disengagment from the Imamship over his advice for non-Muslim not to cross the , Soyinka's covert and overt hatred for Muslims and what Islam stands for is on record, his tribalistic (Yoruba) inclination at the detriment of other tribes when saddled with Chairmanship of FRSC during IBB administration is fresh in memories.
We cannot allow such frustrated element to becloud our scenes with his bigoted and tribalistic agenda, for how can any reasonable person let go of light and follow darkness ? "Qad tabayyinal rusdi minal gayy".
