Time flies when you’re having fun!

I hope Soren is okay with recreating these photos in the future! It is amazing how much you learn, change, and grow through the process of becoming a family. I feel very privileged that I get to do this with Veronica and Soren Smith. And don’t forget about Buxton (golden doodle), Ruthie (sheepadoodle), and Josie (wildly curious cat). What’s your best tip for us as new parents? Please post below!

LIFE UPDATE: 36 weeks pregnant means Baby Boy Smith can come anytime! It’s been a scramble to get the nursery ready, but we finished the wallpaper at midnight last night and moved nursery furniture in this morning! Last weekend we installed a closet organizer so we have somewhere to stack diaper boxes and organize baby clothes. I’m grateful we have what we need and get to create a beautiful space for learning to be new parents!

I appreciated this.

V completed an accelerated prep course for a national CFP certification and PASSED the CFP exam this week. And she did this all in under a year while working and pregnant (something that usually takes closer to 2 years). Baby Boy Smith is coming out of a strong mama! Week 33 starts today! Nursery prep is now under way!

The entire trip was a dream with my love, Veronica, and some of the family that I am proud to now be a part of!

It’s difficult, but worth it.

You teach people how to treat you.

Frustration is often the refusal to have tough conversations and resentment never naturally lessens, it only grows when not addressed.

Don’t let them guilt trip you into thinking you did something wrong by drawing a line in the sand.

Be great.

Keep cool and teach.

Repeat it until you believe it.

Unlearning is one of the hardest and most rewarding things.

Sometimes it’s best to let it be and appreciate what is.
