Today, we'd like to introduce you to a special artist - Suzanne Ciani. In doing so, we take the opportunity to show you how she has left her mark on the world of electronic music as a woman, paving the way for many other female artists.

What do you know about the Roland Verselab MV1?
The Roland E-4 is well-built and, with its built-in battery, provides a more playable option compared to the rather bulky and complicated Roland VT-4 or VT-3, which are still being offered. A real advantage here is that it's Class-Compliant, making it easy to connect with iPhones and other devices.
This feature should be interesting for street musicians and vocal performers β just attach a ghetto blaster and start performing! The built-in effects aren't just there to enhance the sound; they serve as creative gadgets to dramatically alter and distort the voice.
They are perfect for jokes and prank calls as well. The price might be reasonable, depending on how you look at it, and I'm not aware of any direct alternatives. Nevertheless, I can't help but wonder who at Roland decides on the specifications for such products.
It seems they miss the mark with their potential target audience, much like they did with the Verslab. Perhaps Roland is just ahead of its time, and I might only fully understand it in retrospect.

The Roland E-4 is solidly built and, with its built-in battery, offers a more playable alternative to the rather bulky and cerebral Roland VT-4 or VT-3, which are still available.
One real plus here: being class-compliant, the E-4 easily connects with iPhone and similar devices. This could be interesting for street musicians and vocal performers β just hook it up to a boombox and you're good to go!
The built-in effects aren't meant to make things pretty, but rather serve as creative gadgets that allow you to drastically manipulate your voice. Perfect for pranks and prank calls.
The price is reasonable from certain perspectives, and I'm not aware of a true alternative.

The Roland S-1 Tweak Synthesizer proves to be a fantastic micro-synthesizer from the AIRA Compact series, offering more than meets the eye. Its versatile functions and well-balanced features allow for creative and focused music production, whether at home, in the studio, or on the go.
Unlike other devices in the AIRA Compact series, it feels less restricted in terms of editing capabilities. That's a positive aspect, as it doesn't try to do too many things at once, which I appreciate.
During testing, the various audio, MIDI, Sync I/O, and AIRA Link connections allowed for different setups.
And of course, you can combine all four available units to create an impressive overall setup. The only thing missing is the AIRA Compact Mixer, right?
The sequencer of the Aira Compact S-1 Tweak Synthesizer is well-developed, and thanks to Roland's ACB technology, the sound is fat and powerful.
It's hard to believe that such a small device can create such massive thunder on big speakers! The S-1 is particularly suitable for FX sounds, deep drones, Psy-Trance, Dark Techno, and more. It excels as a bass synthesizer with its Unison feature. Perhaps a few more detune options would have been a nice addition here?
