Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
This event is for our whole community. All parents and wider whānau are encouraged to come along and here some critical messages about digital safety. Netsafe and our local Police will be available to go through important information for our community and we look forward to seeing you there.

The Ki-o-Rahi day today was absolutely fantastic! Well done to all tamariki from all schools who took part. Lots of fun competition and valuable whānaungatanga (connecting with others) was wonderful to see. Ngā mihi Izaac for your organisation and whānau/ schools for your support as well as our awesome referees from Thames High School.

All of the kaiako/teachers and many support staff alongside the Thames Treasury team and kaumatua from Ngāti Maru had a brilliant day learning at Tamaki Makaurau Museum. We had the chance to learn some of the important history of Hotunui Marae, which is hugely significant for our area as this Marae is from the Pārāwai/Thames area. We also delved into the history of this Marae and other artefacts significant to Hauraki and heard about some key Hauraki history. Great to hear about aspects of Navigation/waka, harakeke weaving and so much more. We will be able to bring this knowledge back to each of our kura/schools to support learning for our tamariki. Ngā mihi/ many thanks to Koro Ngapo, Reha Johnson-Watene, Tereora Crane, Tamaki Makaurau Museum staff and our Kāhui Ako team.
