एक पिताले छोरीलाई भने "तिमीले मास्टर डिग्री पूरा गर्‍यौं, बधाई छ! अब म तिमीलाई मैले एक जमानामा किनेको पुरानो कार उपहार दिन चाहन्छु। यो अब धेरै पुरानो भइसकेको छ। तर मैले यो कार तिमीलाई दिनु अघि यसलाई तल बजारमा पुराना प्रयोग भइसकेका कारहरु किन्ने पसलमा गएर सोध `म यसलाई बिक्री गर्न चाहन्छु यसको मुल्य कति दिनुहुन्छ?´"

छोरीले कार लगेर देखाइन् र फर्कि आएर बुबालाई भनिन्, "तिनीहरुले यो कारलाई १ लाख रुपैयाँ दिन्छौं भने। किनकि यो कार धेरै थोत्रो भइसकेको छ।"

बुबाले भने, अब "यो कारलाई यसको पार्टपुर्जा किन्ने ठाउँमा गए्र यसको मूल्य सोध।" छोरी त्यहाँ पनि गएर सोधिसकेपछि फर्केर बुबालाई भनिन्, "तिनीहरुले त जम्मा २० हजार रुपैयाँ मात्र दिन्छौं भने किनकी यो ज्यादै पुरानो भइसकेको छ।"

बुबाले फेरि त्यो कारलाई पुराना कारहरु संकलन गर्ने क्लवमा लगेर त्यसको मूल्य सोध्न छोरीलाई पठाए। त्यसपछि छोरीले त्यो कारलाई लिएर क्लबमा गईन् र त्यसको मुल्य सोधिन्। छोरीले फर्केर बुबालाई सुनाइन्, क्लवका केही मानिसहरुले यो कारको १ करोड रूपयाँ सम्म दिन्छु भने किनभने यो एक बिशिस्ट कार भएकोले धेरै कार संग्रहकर्ताहरुले खोजिरहेका छन्।"

तब बुबाले छोरीलाई भने, "तिम्रो ठिक मुल्यांकन ठिक ठाउँमा मात्र हुन्छ। यदि कसैले तिमीलाई सही मुल्यांकन गरेन भने नरिसाऊ, यसको अर्थ तिमी गलत ठाउँमा छौ। तिमिलाई सही मुल्यांकन गर्नेहरूले तिम्रो कदर गर्छन्। जहाँ तिम्रो महत्व कसैले देख्दैन त्यहाँ कहिले पनि नबस्नू।"
