"Bismillah ir rehman ir rahim"
In one simple word bismillah expresses our wonder, awe and thankfulness while it also expresses our innermost prayer that we may have the blessing of another breath, another moment of life, and that we may walk on a path of truth and understanding.
To say Bismillah is to humbly offer one's self as a vehicle for the glory and majesty of The One.
Rahman points toward the Beneficent One whose endless outpouring of love and mercy are continually showered upon all of creation, while Rahim points toward the Merciful One whose love and mercy are manifested in that which is received as the consequence of one's deeds.
So, the phrase ir rahman ir rahim is a recognition and honoring of the very source of all existence, the source of all blessings, the source of all compassion, the source of all mercy who gives endlessly to us and who also responds according to our moral integrity, our harmony with all of creation and our love of Allah.

"Fabi ayyi ala i rabbikuma tukazziban"
{ فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ }
which means
“Then which of your Lord’s blessings will either of you belie?”
The above verse in Surah Rahman is repeated 31 times. Allah Ta῾ālā enumerates His various bounties to mankind and Jin. He then asks this question “Then which of your Lord’s blessings will either of you belie?”
It is obvious we cannot belie the bounties and favors of Allah, since we are surrounded by them at all times. We continuously witness and enjoy the countless favors of Allah in every sphere of our lives.
So let's just try to be more thankful with each passing day for all the small and big favours the Almighty has bestowed us & our loved ones with. Alhamdulillah. 💝

Years ago, when I was sketching this artwork.. I had not experienced motherhood by then but somehow this piece became close to my heart.. while trying to capture the right emotion in the mother elephant's eyes & body language.. she trying to feed her child & her child feeling safe in her mother's presence..
And now that I have my own little baby to raise.. I can say raising a child is the most beautiful & rewarding yet challenging experience full of hardships..
And any time I hear of a parent & child being separated due to any circumstances.. I just pray for them to reunite anyhow and that I may never experience such a testing phase..
The sad incident that has happened is another reminder of how unsafe we are in this Barbaric era.. full of bullies & ruthless rulers..
Also speaking for females who have experienced miscarriages.. they are in no less of a pain of losing their premature baby in their womb or how so ever..
An elephant has the longest gestational period of all the mammals that is 18 to 22 months.. around 640 days.. And they only get to experience giving birth around 4 times in their whole life span.. Can you imagine spending continuous 640 days being pregnant & still being unassured as to will you be able to deliver or witness the baby.. how will you feed and groom her in this ruthless era..
Posting about any cause doesn't really help.. Being compassionate in any possible way does. Reach out to the needful 💛

Kun fayakūn (Arabic: کُنْ فَیَکون) is a Qur'anic phrase repeatedly used in Qur'anic verses. The phrase literally means: "be, and (or then) it is". Following hadiths from Imams (a), Shiite exegetes of the Qur'an interpret the phrase as referring to the fact that God's generative will (al-irada al-takwiniyya) to create something amounts to the creation of that thing. Thus, it is not the case that God literally uses the word, "be", as an order to create beings. Shiite mystics believe that residents of the Heaven and mystics are endowed by God with the position of "be, and it is".
