Did I plan to rebrand this year? I did not. But to be honest a lot happened this year that I did not plan on. Fireweed is iconic for its beauty and resiliency after a fire, and although my family has been walking through flames, there is beauty and strength and we have walked together through every step. There is an extremely tender, deep part of my heart reserved for the blueberry era of Tuck Wild and all that it entailed. But now it's fireweed. Resilient, beautiful, Alaskan. Thank you for sticking with me through a year of inconsistency and growth. . .I cannot tell you what your support means to me and my family, always but especially right now.

I’m 100% sure I’m supposed to take prettier pictures for “real posts” but I also think you know by now that I am better at sewing than internetting.

I’m calling these “the salvage collection” and will be making lots more! The exterior fabric for these was rescued from a personal collection that had it sitting shelved for years, and I rescued it, hauled it across the continent, and am finally putting it to good use (AKA someone bought it many years ago, used what she needed before giving it to my mom less years ago. She used what she needed and then gave me the rest last time I visited her! Thanks, Mom!!).

in all seriousness, I really love the game of using up what I can without spending money on more. It’s a fun challenge, it’s earth-friendly, AND it helps me keep costs down for you guys. I didn’t have to raise prices at all last year despite inflation and am trying desperately to maintain that!

Hi, friends. I hope Thanksgiving was a day where you loved well and were loved in return. I’m SO grateful for all of you making this another successful year for my tiny business. I am just a mom trying to sew things and help support my family between all the tasks I need to do to take care of my sweet boys…overwhelmingly humbled that people would spend their hard-earned dollars to support me. I can’t make enough things to stock a website or do extra sales this year (what a beautiful problem to have!)…you can find me at the Wonderfully Made bazaar at Cornerstone Church on Dec 9/10, and at Amanda Rose Warren’s studio for a pop up on Dec 17. I have some new products I’ll show you soon! Until then I’ll be working as furiously as I can to prepare, and trying to squeak in some family time as well. THANK. Next event!!! I’ve never sold Tuck Wild on the peninsula before and am SO excited for this event. Working like a crazy woman these next couple of weeks to bring as much as possible with me!

At the Kincaid stadium today for Mountain Bike for Women! Come see my handsome helper and I from 11-5:30!

My current favorite story: About 40 years ago my parents lived in Kenya. They lived with, served, taught, and loved the people in an extremely remote village called Loglogo. Due to a few unforeseen circumstances they had to leave very abruptly, and it has always left a hole in their hearts. Yesterday they finally got the chance to return to Loglogo. They had no way of contacting anyone there, no way of knowing if any of the people they’d left were still there. Spoiler alert: THEY WERE. In what can only be credited to divine intervention, they were able to reunite with many dear friends they thought they’d never see again. As is customary, my mom and her sweet friend exchanged gifts…my kids are OBSESSED with the pictures of Grandmom’s new beaded necklace, and now a Tuck Wild pouch has made its home in the depth of Africa. No coffee cards or American dollars are shoved into this one, but it is holding J’s shillings and will be treasured for years as a gift from her long lost friend.

Sharing this story not to try to convince anyone to purchase my wares. Sharing because I believe this is what humanity was created to be: people who love each other deeply and joyfully, despite distance or differences. Go love your people today. ❤️

Hi friends! Felt like about that time again - I should introduce myself and show my actual face.

I’m Hannah and Tuck Wild is my fifth baby (and also my least important one - hence the reason I’m not on social media as much as I “should” be as a small business owner. Sorry, not sorry.). ❤️

I was asked a few times at one of the last markets if everything at my booth was made in state. It’s a fair question but made me giggle because…yes. It’s just me, a mom frantically sewing between all the school drop-offs and pick-ups for my boys. 🙃 It boggles my mind that I can direct you to brick-and-mortar stores to buy my things, and that I am a person who completes wholesale orders for people. BUT it is because of those dear store owners believing in me, and YOU choosing to spend your money on handmade, that this mom gets to do this. THANK YOU.

Where are all of you located? Are you local to Alaska or scrolling from somewhere else? The internet makes me cringe sometimes but also it is such a great tool to make connections! I’m excited to hear who all is on the other side of these squares!

I’ve been slacking on my posts 🥴 But thankfully my husband’s friend has been taking great pictures of him to get me back on track!

I customized this f***y pack fir my husband…instead of regular waist straps we threw straps on the back to thread his avalanche pack strap through. This way he has access to all smaller essentials while he’s in the backcountry!
