Funky Fun goes to the tropics with allspice, Jamaican , lime and pineapple. This series of lower alcohol are fit for any occasion!

Funky Fun

0.5 oz Jamaican white overproof rum
1 oz pineapple juice
0.75 oz lime
0.5 oz allspice simple syrup
garnish: lime wheel, mint
glassware: highball

Place all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a glass filled with ice and garnish.

This cocktail was inspired by Jeffrey Morgenthaler’s Amaretto Sour. It takes a lighter approach by substituting out the amaretto with licor 43 and swapping the cask strength bourbon for brandy.

Good Start

0.75 oz brandy
1.5 oz licor 43
1 oz lemon
0.5 oz egg white
0.25 oz simple syrup
1 bar spoon white overproof jamaican rum (Wray & Nephew)
1 drop/pinch of salt (20% w/w)
garnish: lemon wheel and zest
glassware: bodega

Place all ingredients in a shaker without ice. Shake until areated. Add ice, then shake until chilled and strain into your glass over ice. Garnish with lemon wheel and zest.

A simple is a great cocktail to have in your back pocket. It's just three simple ingredients that are behind any bar and in most homes. Porch Break uses a simple syrup to add tea flavor and lowers the amount of bourbon to create a lower alcohol thirst quencher great for sitting in the shade on a hot summer day.

Feel free to adjust the ratio of lemon and simple syrup to taste. If you are looking for something with more acidity drop the simple syrup to 0.75 oz.

Porch Break

1 oz bourbon (any whiskey)
1 oz lemon
1 oz tea simple syrup*
1-4 dashes bitters
glassware: bodega, highball
garnish: lemon wheel

Place all the ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled and aerated. Strain into a glass with ice. Garnish with lemon wheel.

Not all American taste the same. From light beer to the new wave of craft lagers there is so much to choose from. In Florida any outdoor event almost requires at least one lager behind the bar. Miller High Life is a great option for those looking for a super crisp, easy drinking classic American lager.

Everyone that loves cocktails has a preference when it comes to their perfect manhattan. The manhattan combines whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters. Metropolis uses high proof whiskey, tawny port, and montenegro amaro. Since sweet vermouth is a red wine that is sweetened and infused with spices and herbs; tawny port and Montenegro (bittersweet herbal amaro) make a fitting substitute for the sweet vermouth and bitters in a classic manhattan.

Metropolis

2 oz high proof Bourbon or Rye (Wild Turkey 101 or Rittenhouse)
0.5 oz tawny port 10 year old
0.5 oz amaro (montenegro)
garnish: maraschino cherries
glass: coupe

Place whiskey, port, and amaro into a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled. Strain into a coupe. Garnish with maraschino cherries.

Jungle Fun is the first in a series of low abv cocktails called fun. A fun consists of 1 part base spirit, 2 parts fresh juice, 1-1.5 parts citrus juice, and 1 part simple syrup or liqueur. It’s a great addition to any bar menu and stay tuned in for many more variations.

0.5 oz mezcal
1 oz pineapple juice
0.75 oz lime juice
0.5 oz green cardamom syrup*
garnish: mint, lime wheel, pineapple
glassware: highball

Place mezcal, pineapple juice, lime, and cardamom syrup into shaker with ice. Shake until chilled and strain into highball over ice. Garnish with mint, lime wheel, pineapple leaf.

Inspired by a dark and stormy, Light n' Bright swaps dark rum for blanco rum and lime for lemon.

1 oz Blanco Rum
3 oz Ginger Beer
0.25 oz Lemon
Garnish: Lemon Slice or Wheel
Glassware: Highball

Place lemon, rum, and ginger beer over ice in highball. Garnish with lemon.
