We prioritize the use of recyclable materials, such as recyclable vegan-leathers and soles, to reduce our reliance on virgin resources. 70% of our materials come from recycled sources and through our endeavours actively exploring innovative recycling technologies, we want to give our shoes a second life, minimise waste, whilst recycling 100% of our own materials by creating 'shoes from shoes'.

However, as we strive to make a positive impact, we also acknowledge the complexity of aligning our business goals with the spirit of Earth Day. We understand the skepticism that surrounds brands offering discounts or promotions during this time, as it may appear opportunistic or insincere. That’s why, instead of just simply offering a discount, we want to use this opportunity to encourage meaningful action. Hey everyone, Holly here 💕 You may have noticed that we have not posted on here in literally 4 months 😅 Jordan and I have been running Trash Planet solo for nearly 4 years and to be honest we both got really in our own heads for a few months, and needed a bit of a social media break for a while to deal with our mental health! I absolutely love Trash Planet, it's my baby, but working on it for 4 years from our flat without seeing other humans sometimes for weeks on end got a bit much for us! So, many apologies for being MIA on here, and for being slow with replying to messages, comments and emails in general! It's still just the 2 of us running this biz, so when we are both out of action for a bit, we don't have a team to fall back on! 

But anyways... WE ARE BACK! We have some cool things coming up, including some new styles, a restock, a sale and also a (potential) REBRAND. We would LOVE to hear your thoughts in the coming weeks as we transition into a new version of Trash Planet! When we first launched in Portugal, we loved having your input on pretty much everything we did, from shoe colours, style names, logos etc. So we'd like to bring that back!
