It’s been a minute … 😳

Wew! It’s been a minute since I last posted. Yes, I’m still alive but I have been in a creative block for the last few months. But I’ve built the courage to post some recent work 🫠

Here’s some Father’s Day branding I did for my home church. We love a good ol’ sports theme.

Super grateful to have been given the opportunity to work on the visual branding.

Just One Step is now available on all platforms! The song is so encouraging and honestly makes me feel like the main character of a Disney film.

This was so fun! I really enjoyed working on this one … maybe because it was my aesthetic 😂 But regardless I LOVE bringing people’s ideas to life. This one’s one my favourites!

Firstly, thank you for the opportunity to share this week’s theme for the PCM Challenge! 🥰

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?” (Matthew‬ ‭16:24-26‬)

Being a follower of Jesus is sometimes not easy and I wanted to acknowledge but also encourage everyone in the struggle between having the world or having Jesus. I was reminded in a devotion I read “If all you were left with in this world was Jesus, would you still be happy and content?” and it really made me think, would I?

So excited to see what all you creative geniuses come up with! Be encouraged and know that the price of following Jesus is worth it every time than the temporary pleasure of the world’s riches ❤️

Art is beautiful, it’s valuable, and it’s an expression of the inner being of the Maker or the Artist.

As God is our Artist, I believe that we are His masterpiece, art and poetry! 💌

We are custom-designed, tailor-made by the hand of God yet some of us continue to believe the judgements of the “critic”. The critic who doesn’t understand the value of the masterpiece! 🖼

“This is just a bunch of shapes, lines and colours mixed together? How is this a masterpiece?” - Critic

Despite the critics, you’re a work of art 😉 Your painting might not make sense to others but who are we to control the expressions of our Maker?

You are so valuable in the eye’s of God. You’re not a masterpiece purposed to be JUST admired at but rather a masterpiece that is an expression of God’s love, forgiveness, grace and the overall purpose for your life and the Kingdom of God!

I am slowly drowning myself in Sunday School songs but this is the last of the series. ☹️

SUNDAY SCHOOL SERIES: Part One

Inspired by the one and only “I AM A C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N”. One thing I remember from singing this song in Sunday School was that you could tell who you could spell and who couldn’t. 😂

The last ones a joke but it’s low key my favourite song of the album because of that part.

I think sometimes we overlook the importance of design. When clients approach me with their ideas I always think about their mission and intention and it just amazes me how much thought there is for the people. One thing I promised myself when I started design was to always do it for:

1. God
2. The Culture
3. The Community

And I’m so glad I can work with people who have the same values as I have. The human race ain’t too bad!

I did some work with and I’m so honoured to contribute to their mission. The love is real from these guys for the community.

I have decided to take a short break from designing/posting & commissions for a little while!

It’s been an enduring season in my life where the need for rest has become more and more evident in the important areas of my life that needed a little time, care and attention.

In saying this, be sure to listen to your own spiritual, mental and physical needs!
