Black Alumni Association-Berkley Michigan

I cordially invite you to join fellow Black alumni in their mission to build community and provide support for current students in the Berkley School District. The intentions of this organization are to provide former and current Black students the opportunity to keep in touch with each other and provide guidance and leadership to current students in order to provide strong and positive role models for them. This is the inaugural year and, as such, they want to make it a great one.

As a member, you would be:
∙ invited to social events connecting past and present BHS Bears
∙ invited to bi-annual meetings to plan future events
∙ given periodic opportunities to mentor our youth
∙ sent bi-annual newsletters with minutes from meetings and updates on events. ∙ due to the pandemic, our meeting for now must remain virtual

As the sponsor of the African American Future Leaders Organization at Berkley High School, I have had numerous conversations with our Black students about creating a Black Alumni Association for Berkley. They are incredibly excited to build connections with those who have walked the halls before them.
