So, my birthday is just around the corner, and I’m still in that 'figuring out the plans' stage.

Every year, when people ask me what I want, I find myself in a bit of a dilemma. Here's the thing - I want the universe for my birthday! But, that might be a bit tricky to gift-wrap and crazy to.

Here are a few ideas just off the top of my head:
1) getting my house painted
2) new stools for my bar
3) a cruise
4) a couple of spa days
5) bills magically paid
6) a string of days off
7) window seat somewhere far away with all expenses covered
8)t ickets to Disney World (and money to eat everything, skipping the rides!)
9) throw in a concert and comedy show for good measure

How do you handle the birthday wishlist question?

Ah, the sweet sound of silence and the promise of newfound freedom—the time of year I eagerly anticipate: when the kids go back to school, also known as “shoulder” or “off” season. One of THE BEST TIMES to enjoy Europe.

With families back to their regular routines, there’s more availability on planes, trains, hotels, and short term rentals.

Here are some tips to enjoy Europe before the summer is over:
⭐️It is still hot out! So make sure you are hydrating! Water from the tap is safe to drink so dont break the bank ordering bottled water at restaurants
⭐️Less tourist traffic doesn’t mean people don’t have somewhere to be. Pack comfortable shoes that feel good with every step
⭐️Be aware if pickpockets! The easiest way to ruin a vacation is to loose your valuables.
⭐️Keep your passport safe in your room. Unless you are doing some tax free shopping. Then, make sure you keep in close at ALL TIMES
⭐️This is the time of the year where shop owners have made it through the busy season and are ready for a vacation themselves. Don’t be surprised at early closing times for restaurants and museums
⭐️Take you top off ladies and enjoy the sea water! Most beaches in Europe welcome topless attire for all.

So, let’s raise our glasses to this magical time of year, when the world is our playground, and travel takes on a new level.

I had planned to never share these pictures. Today, I want to talk about the incredible perspective that traveling offers us on the concept of beauty. I want to be transparent with all of you. Lately, I haven't been the most confident in myself. The stress of 2023 hasn’t been easy on my mind or body and with summer time being here I was faced with the latter when I looked in the mirror. Constantly critiquing myself and feeling self-conscious, especially when it comes to wearing a swimsuit (and you know how I feel about my swimsuits). But you know what? It's time to put an end to my negative cycle.

Traveling has been my ultimate escape and a source of immense liberation for me. But exploring stunning beaches across the globe, helped me realize that beauty is not a one-size-fits-all standard. It varies from culture to culture, from country to country. Witnessing this diversity of beauty has been a transformative experience over the past 10 years. It has shaped me in more ways than I could have ever imagined (no pun intended).

To all of you who have ever felt self-conscious or struggled with body confidence, remember that you are not alone. We are all beautifully unique, and our worth extends far beyond our physical appearance.

I didn’t care for the winding maze-like streets that if you where not careful would have you falling in the water. The foodie in me was not happy with the food. Where is the romance I was promised? The gondolas sail right next to a loud taxi ferry or trash boat. Help me understand.
