Guess who purchased the 777-9s at the recent Farnborough Airshow? Korean Air officially closed a deal to purchase 20 Boeing 777-9 aircraft, while Qatar Airways added another 20 more 777X to its order list, boosting its order of pax and cargo variants of the 777X to 94 😍

With the Boeing 777-9 certification finally underway, definitely looking forward to seeing these beauties take to the skies with their future operators, including our very own Singapore Airlines 🙌🏻

And fun fact…the Qatar Airways 777-300ER in this photo is A7-BAC back in 2021 before she was painted in her famous ..

Got an epic Sunday spotting surprise!! Chanced upon (read: unexpectedly) this ANTONOV Airlines An-124-100 arriving in Clark International Airport yesterday! Some truly unfortunate and distressing news last week when news trickled in that a Singapore Airlines Boeing 777 encountered extreme turbulence resulting in numerous injuries, some of which are severe or critical, and tragically, one fatal injury. The deepest of condolences to the family of the deceased, and wishing a speedy recovery for those who were injured.

This incident serves as a stark reminder to how far we have comes in terms of aircraft design, pilot training and lessons learnt on post accident/incident service recovery, and glad to see team Singapore Airlines pulling all the stops to ensure that the passengers and crew are well taken care of post-incident 🙌🏻..

When I first started in 2020 at the peak of the pandemic, there were zero A380 flights in Singapore. Four years later, we now have 4 airlines operating service in and out of the little red dot I call home 😍 Last week marked the return of the British Airways Whales to Singapore, joining the ranks of Emirates Airlines, Qantas and of course Singapore Airlines in gracing the skies with this marvel of engineering 😍😍..
