In this video, I talk about Sophocles’s play Oedipus Rex. I find that there is a lot to mine here. The main themes I got from it this time: how Oedipus crosses and blurs fundamental boundaries, how to deal with the fates’ (or suffering’s) power in the world, and how commitment is necessary for any proper integration to happen. Reflections on the Beach Life is suffering; we can build our lives on rock or sand in light of that.
I received a very meaty comment from my Odysseus video. I thought I would use it as a springboard for this video. I try to piece out the differences between taking vengeance and forgiveness, discipline versus mercy, and God dealing with injustice. There's a ton of thinking out loud and wandering in this video.
Thanks to Pam for letting me use this comment of hers. Hopefully I didn't disabuse it too much.

This page will act as a place where I can post links and other things from my online content to Facebook. I have decided to stop using my regular account for this and so I created this page. I have had two accounts on Instagram for a while, so I thought I’d try it with Facebook.
I will probably post my articles directly to this page along with my videos in full.
Keep in mind (if you got here via my regular account): I have changed the profile picture on this page to my old Facebook profile. Thus, if you are looking for my regular profile, then look for a different profile pic.

I do two basic things online:
1. I post videos on YouTube and upload the audio to podcast. Most of these videos have to do with things I’m thinking about. It’s a rather personal endeavor. The main purpose of it is to talk out loud in order to straighten out my thoughts. I hope it also is helpful for someone else too.
2. Additionally, I write a blog on Substack. This consists of informal writing and musings, more intense and professional writings, things I write for school, links to my podcast and YouTube, and links to different sites etc. which I find helpful.
My hope with all that I do here and everywhere else is to glorify God and serve others. So, I hope that this page will assist in accomplishing that.
