When it come to progressive overload, you should have a legit plan each week to increase the difficulty in your workouts. Unfortunately, many just go in the gym and do whatever with no plan.
Here are my top things people do wrong with progressive overload, and how we can improve. Another note, is to always have a deload week after your mesocycle!

TEAM! Nothing beats a player led team. Trust your teammate to do his job, and he trust you to do yours. Dont be superman and try to do it all yourself.
So, most people dont realize that you can lift weights and your main goal ISNT hypertrophy. Specifically for athletes, we lift certain way to support us in our sport. Programs are designed for the individual, and there are general principles to follow as well.
Ja'Marr Chase's deadlift here is pretty normal prior to reporting to training camp. He is clearly focusing on the concentric portion of this lift at this time of his program, really demonstrating the force production he has developed this off season.

Best way to run the 800m is having a +2 differential. That means having your first lap 2 seconds faster than your second lap. Break that down by 200m to help keep pace.
