Feelin' Groovy Hot Air Balloon
Elliott's journey to become a Private Hot Air Balloon Pilot
Thank you CREW and Patrick!
You showed up to help Elliott with his training flight.
It was great getting too see everyone, it's been too long for sure.
Until next time!
Feelin Groovy flying toward Auburn, great photo Anna Feldt !
Nice flight, super nice landowners, and amazingly nice crew! Thanks again everyone, was fun hearing everyone yell at the guys as they flew by!
Elliott was able to get a couple flights in the last week.
Two great landings, two great landowners, and as always amazing crew!
Elliott is working hard with the help of Brian to get this done.
Oh what fun it was at Huff n Puff Discovery Workshop!
Feelin Groovy was able to inflate while Elliott taught a couple siblings new to hot air balloons, and are also his cousins.
Thank you Brody, Peyton and Bridget for joining us and take part of the inflation and deflation. It was a great experience for everyone involved.
Thank you Brian, Anna, Monica, Austin, Joe, Jordan, Mom and Dad for crewing and all the support!
I know I am behind on posting but Monday was the first time since the wedding that Feelin Groovy was in the sky! Darn weather!
Great flight with Breaking Dawn following. Got permission to land at the airport, crew escorted in and out, with a fun time checking the newest fire truck.
Thank you crew: Anna, Marya, Austin, Austin, Bailey, Hadley and Cohen! Thanks to Brian for putting in the time to train Elliott!
Hope to be flying again soon!
Couple pics from the wedding last week, looking forward to seeing more from this beautiful day!
Listen closely and you will hear Veronica singing! Super cute.
Thank you Kira for capturing this moment.
It only takes a moment to create a memory! On Saturday student pilot Elliott with PIC David Reed, waited patiently for that moment to inflate Feelin Groovy.
Abby and Garrett were able to take some wedding photos, the DJ brought the music outside, so the party continued on!
Thank you Austin, Layne, Rodney, Rockwell and Jerry for crewing, you're the best! Also the groomsmen who helped pack up.
Thank you David for making the trip and working with Elliott to pick the best time to inflate.
The half hour glow was worth every second!
It has been a few since Elliott flew, so last evening was good to get a flight in.
A huge Thanks to Brian, Mark, Tony, Dad, Joe, Cole and Slate for coming out to crew. I do not like to miss his flights but had to drive and pick up grandkids for wedding rehearsal today. I helped get him in the air and took off as he had great crew chasing him.
Thanks to photos from the air Brian, so cool to see from above.
Elliott said it was a good flight!
Student pilot Elliott and Brian his instructor took advantage of 2 nights for training. Great flights, pretty close to same paths.
Crew did amazing both nights:
Anna, Marya, Austin, Joe and boys. Thank you all for showing up and supporting Elliott on this journey.
Sunday the grass was tall but tonight the field was really tall.
Garfield Park neighbors have been loving the launches. They are recognizing the trailer and settle in to take photos and videos, or just enjoy! People stop and thank us before we leave, I think that is pretty cool!
I at times think about all the pictures that get taken by strangers from inflation to landing. Everyone with there phones out snapping pics, cool to witness!
These photos from Wednesday flight were sent to the Huff n Puff page and taken with a drone. Thank you for sharing them, they are really nice pictures. Elliott said he and Brian saw the drone and Thank you for not getting closer as they maneuvered through the sky.
Thank you again for sharing!
Oh what fun it is to land a hot air balloon in an amazing neighborhood.
Elliott will tell you it's super fun!
His flight took him East, North, South and back West in that order. Made a perfect loop around.
Then made a sweet ladies day by giving her a tethered ride. A few others joined the fun and they helped us pack up.
Making friends everywhere we go Feels Groovy!
Thanks to crew Dennis, Anna, Tony and of course Brian for another great training flight.
A busy Sunday for Feelin Groovy team. Finally had a morning to get some photos of our Senior doing his thing. Photographer Kathleen did what she had to for the shots.
That evening he flew along side Brian and Lori from Linwood Elementary. Another great flight logged!
Thank you Tony for instructing Elliott both times.
Aunt Anna and Kathleen for being there in the early morning frost, can't do this without all the support.
Monday evening the Feelin Groovy team took advantage of a chance to fly. Winds were messing with us a bit but Elliott listened to Brian and remembered from past experiences, he did a great job and all panels in tact!
We had awesome group of crew and a few new faces. Looking forward to doing it again real soon! Thank you everyone!
Thanks to everyone for stopping by and chatting with us.
Huge thanks to Austin Jantz for being there early to help set up and staying to put away. Thanks Marya for joining us and helping too.
More pics later...
Chech out the pretty flag Chelsey Green created, it worked great and had lots of compliments!
Come out and visit with Elliott tomorrow at the Easter Festival at the Great Overland Train Station.
He will have his basket out for everyone to check out. He will be there for a couple hours so hop over and see him.
The Festival starts at 10 with a parade thru NOTO, then activities until 3pm.
Feelin Groovy pilot and crew want to wish our followers a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Keep looking to the skies you never know when you will see the pretty green overhead!
Early morning flight, no wind so landed hour and 40 minutes later. Easy chase and Satchel found us and helped. Thank you we appreciate it!
Thank you to Brian Nitcher for our launch site, your the best!
Brian Carlson so are you!
Check out this landing!
Well he did it again, flight #2 of 2023. This evenings flight was very calm and slow.

Great flight in North Topeka.
Thank you landowners, we appreciate you!
Thank you Brian Carlson it's always a good time.
Elliott passed again! He retook the written test and scored higher, so the last 2 years of training helped for sure. He has a good instructor!
Thanks to everyone for all your support over last 2 years, now it's time to git'r done!
Yes it was 18 degrees this morning but it was still a beautiful morning for a flight. From Garfield Park to NE 70th St and Landon Rd, was perfect.
And what do I see, but yes a layout landing!!
We braved the cool temperature and it was worth it!
Last evening was another flight, more crew was much welcomed! Austin and Cary were the bomb on crown!
Have a couple from Brian Carlson, they had a great view from above, as we enjoyed ours looking up.
Last Sunday morning flight before time falls back. Good job Elliott getting there! Thanks to Brian, Aunt Anna and Dad for crewing!
October 15th had Elliott following Tony thru the skies in north Topeka. Great landing by both with Elliott coming in perfectly next to him.
Training flight last night Feelin Groovy landed in the back yard of a former neighbor to Brian Carlson. Once again awesome crew, Thank you guys!
