Hi All, just letting you know of a heartfelt Grief Tending workshop coming up a couple weekends from now facilitated by Kylee Allen Gies that I'd recommend you check out! Here's a description of this workshop from Kylee...
There is a lot of collective grief in response to living through challenging times on Earth right now. It could be relational, environmental, racial, societal, marital, sudden loss, lingering endings, etc. It can feel overwhelming and ware on us everyday if we don't take care of our body, mind, and soul.
If you are searching for a way to support your process in an emotionally intelligent way, here is an offering for you. It's harvest season and it's time to harvest the gifts we still have available to us even in the midst of uncertainty, struggle, and loss of control, and the whole gauntlet of human responses. How can we feel the love and harness positive solutions and even non-action during tough times and longer grief journeys?
This workshop utilizes a heART-centered approach to offer creative channels for you to express your personal stories while remaining grounded, supported by nature in nature, and safely held in circle with others in community. The power in this practice lightens the burden we carry and creates a channel of expression that has a liberating effect on our own hearts and collective state of being.
This is an outdoor event under a beautiful large marquees stretch tent on five acres of land with fresh air, trees, and flowers. Info in the Bio. 🙂 Hope to see you there if this is calling you! Such wisdom from Michael Meade and an eloquent explanation for why navigating the terrain of grief is so important in one's life. If you haven't already, sign up to attend one of our upcoming Grieving Ceremonies happening THIS WEEK!
"Despite the common desire to rise to the top, moments of essential change can depend upon a willingness to descend. A deep connection may be drawn between those who face the truth in themselves and the discovery of valuable pearls in depths of the ocean. Those who desire pearls must dive into deep waters; once there they risk darkness and isolation and the confusions of the murky depths. Similarly, those who would find the inner pearl must enter the treacherous waters of the soul and face the darkness found within. They must crack the hard shell of their little-self and come to know themselves from the inside out."
- Michael Meade, "Fate and Destiny"
