I apologise for not being active. I havenโt been so well in myself and have had to cancel the last session. I have decided to cancel all sessions in December and at the moment Iโm undecided on wether or not to carry on in the new year.
I will be posting similar groups in and around torbay for people to use and contact if they need any support.

Iโve been on a well deserved break but Iโm back now, Iโve enjoyed the weather up in Liverpool and seeing the snow fall in November was crazy but beautiful to see.

Hi all, just a quick post to state Iโm not a professional or therapist. Iโm just a girl who is passionate about mental health and dedicated to make a change in my local community.
I love that people are comfortable chatting and venting to me and I am replying to everyone as fast as I can. I am trying to set up a automated message for people who do inbox me, this will just state that I will be with you ASAP and will offer any helplines/websites IF you are needing these.

Sadly, due to so many people relying on food banks across Torbay, these days, Path runs low on items most weeks.
Path are open as usual, up to and over Christmas.
We would love our food hampers, to be as festive as we possibly can, for those struggling.
This Christmas is going to be especially difficult for so many.

As the holiday season is coming in quick, I know these times are hard for people.
I have some exciting sessions coming in December which will require people to sign up if you are interested in coming - this will give me a rough idea of numbers and how much or little I need to buy.
Also I have shared the amazing organisation PATH torbay on my page, which you can support over Christmas. Any donations or time you can spare to help is very appreciated and will mean a lot to a person in the bay.
Iโm always friendly and kind to everyone around me but I am sometimes guilty of not being kind to myself.
So here is your Tuesday reminder to always be kind to yourself cosโ you deserve it. Even though it may not feel like it at the moment.

What would you like to see from us? Any suggestions and comments are highly recommended.
One thing doesnโt suit all so what works for you we can involve. Or if your not sure where to start we can try all kinds of different strategies to make you feel as comfortable and listened too as possible.
Letโs start this week refreshed and remember tomorrow is a new day. Donโt let one bad day affect the way you see the week.
Wednesday evening is also our fortnightly Tea and Talk session - we have lots of leaflets, self help activities and a safe space for you to talk about how you are doing physically, mentally and emotionally.
Letโs be open about our mental health. ๐
Saying NO is very difficult, doesnโt matter if itโs to a friend, family member or in a situation. I am a people pleaser, thatโs me in a nut shell. I never say no which sometimes gets me in some uncomfortable positions or makes me anxious.
Here are some ways you can say NO in a different way. You should NOT feel bad for saying know, put yourself first. Doesnโt matter if itโs a friend or family member or even work asking for you to do extra hours. If you donโt want to do something, stop and think. Will this make me uncomfortable? Will this make me anxious? Will extra hours at work benefit me? Listen to your mind and body and go with what YOU want to do.

Today I decided to ask for more funding for the people of Torbay. This includes Paignton, Brixham and Newton abbot. I would like to go forward with helping prevent su***de by talking over tea and activities that help your well-being.
Maybe one day I can take Tea and Talk to each part of Torbay.

ยฃ29,000 fund aimed at preventing su***de in the Bay Mental health groups are being invited to apply for grants from a ยฃ29,000 fund aimed at preventing su***de in the Bay. Grants of between ยฃ500 and ยฃ2000 are available to community groups and voluntaโฆ
On my days off all I want to do is NOTHING. Sleep, rest, watch films, be lazy af. I shouldnโt feel bad for wanting to do nothing, I shouldnโt compare my productivity to other peoples as we all have our rest days. We need our rest days, to recharge.
I am trying to be more open about my life here, so people can relate and not feel alone. I am anxious but If I can share about mental health maybe it may give the courage for other people to start talking. MAKE THE CONVERSATION.

Mental illness doesnโt make you weak. Youโre fighting your battles everyday, that makes you a fighter. Donโt dismiss the cry for help, please listen to people around you. โค๏ธ๐๐๐๐ค๐๐งก
Mental illness affects everyone, from young to old. The people you see on Facebook, Instagram, the strangers in the streets, your friends, family and work colleagues. It costs nothing to be nice. Pick up on the emotions, actions and words of people you meet. Ask them โhow are you todayโ they may reply โfineโ - but get in to it, let them know you are willing to listen to them.
All we want is someone to listen. No judgment, no advice, nothing. Just to get things of our chest and have someone to help with how they feeling.
