Admin day essentials: A strong coffee and an even stronger sense of humor! ☕️💼 Who knew that behind every thrilling production (even if it’s “just” R&D) lies a mountain of paperwork? 🗂️✨ Today’s agenda includes: emails, scheduling, and possibly learning how to clone myself to get through this to-do list faster. Any volunteers for the cloning experiment?

Jokes aside, these behind-the-scenes moments keep the wheels turning at One and Three Quarters. And honestly, a good coffee makes even admin work feel like part of the creative process. How do you power through your less glamorous tasks? Share your survival tips below! 😄

As we welcome the shift in seasons and the renewal that comes with it, we’re reminded of the invaluable role that breaks play in our creative journey. 🌸🍃 Taking time off isn’t just about stepping away; it’s about stepping back to see the bigger picture, rejuvenate our minds, and return with fresh eyes and hearts full of new ideas.

This hiatus, coinciding with the transition from winter to spring, has been a period of mindfulness and reflection for us at One and Three Quarters. It’s a reminder that growth often happens in the quiet, in the rest, just as much as in the rehearsal room.

As we gear up to resume rehearsals next week, we’re embracing the lessons learned in stillness and the inspiration drawn from nature’s unfurling beauty. Here’s to the creative energy that blooms from well-rested spirits and the magic that unfolds when we give ourselves permission to pause. 🌟

How do you recharge your creativity?

Who knew rehearsals could lead to such ‘bucket-list’ moments? 🪣🎩 Swipe left to see the hilarity unfold. Got any from your week? Share them with us!

Pause. Reflect. Anticipate. 🎭✨ In the world of theatre—and life—waiting isn’t just empty time; it’s filled with potential and promise. Today, we’re exploring the art of waiting: what happens in those silent moments before the action, the breath before the line, the calm before the applause. How do you embrace the wait? Share with us your moments of anticipation and what they mean to you.

Thanks to all the staff from and for taking part in the Accessibility Awareness training today, Shifting the Weight of Access, from me and Vicki Oliver .moon.wolf . This is just part of what we do as theatre company!

We opened up some really productive conversations around disability, ableism and being an advocate for ourselves and others with access needs.

We spoke quite a lot about being ready to take on the weight of organising accessibility from those who already have enough going on with their lived experience of disability and all the sensory processing that can come with.

And thanks to for creating their interactive presentation app that never fails to get participants involved when I'm delivering! 👍

[Image descriptions: the first image shows a laptop with a slide from a PowerPoint presentation with bullet points about how Ableism and Barriers are interlinked, asking what examples we can think of for each. It reminds us that because the two aspects are linked, we have an easier route to considering the other for access needs. There is an image of a brightly neon-lit theatre foyer filled with people and signage, an accessibility nightmare for many people!
The second image shows a slide from a Mentimeter presentation, entitled Accessibility Awareness, with a close up of a beautiful red setter wearing a Therapy Dog harness. On the right of the screen is a preview of the next slide asking, 'What does Access make you think of?' and a prompt image of a yellow raid sign for a wheelchair accessible parking space.]

Where have we been?

It all went very quiet around here and for a very good reason. We have been busy working on Developing Our Creative Practice funded by . Which means we have been playing, creating and working out exactly what we want to do as a company and collective. All the way through we’ve been embedding Access into our practice. And ultimately we realised we don’t have the capacity just yet to do everything but we’re working on it!

What we’re really EXCITED about now is to share with you exactly what we’ve been up to, who we’ve been working with and where we are going next. Are you ready to come along for the ride? Drop an emoji below to welcome us back and let us know you’re with us ❤️

We hold these conversations one on one in whatever format suits you best. Please comment or message us if you would like to participate. Or share it with people who are interested in helping. We are looking forward to hearing from you all :)

It’s autumn! What challenges does the change of seasons bring to you? Let’s chat in the comments.

For us, we struggle a lot with different things as we both have very different disabilities. Vicki, on one hand, struggles a lot with viruses, remembering to wear appropriate clothing or sore joints, while Susie struggles with the fact that it’ll be dark most of the time, the rainy weather makes it harder for her to navigate her way and wet leaves are actually quite tricky for her and her guide dog!

What does mean to you?

How would you describe the word? What does it look like? What does it mean to you?

There’s no right or wrong answers to this question (unless it causes harm). The definition and experience of being disabled is unique to each person.

As a community led company we would love to know your thoughts.

Have you ever met the Fun Police?

We know we have (que eye rolls). Just think those situations in which you are judged for enjoying yourselves. Because we need to be home all the time suffering right?

We are creating a series of shorts that take a candid and humorous approach to sharing these stories. Each one tells the story of a real life situation we’ve encountered that polices our disabled lives.

We have a few lined up but we’d love to know if you disabled folk have ever met the fun police too? Drop a comment below or DM us. We may even make your story into a short to star on our page.

As we're getting all "prepped and primed" (little quote from our show!) for on the Mind and Body Day (14th March), we are trying to share a bit more of our rehearsal process with you.⁣

A little sneak peek of one of the last moments of our piece (so far!). Energy levels were high that day in rehearsals. We tried out different things to achieve a certain atmosphere in this scene. It was a lot of fun - especially because we previewed our work to a test audience straight after this. ⁣

Everything you see on this shot is part of our set, just in case you wondered. All of us are also in costume. We decided to keep everything as simple as possible. ⁣

[ : A clothes rail in the background, filled with black and white clothing and one red dress. Susie, Ursula and Nicole are all dressed in black leggings and grey shirts. Nicole and Ursula are standing in front of Susie, holding their hands up with their palms facing Susie as if blocking her way. Susie is facing them, trying to find a way past them.]⁣
