We had long planned to recite a poem, and when we decided to create a YouTube channel, naturally it was the first thing that came to mind. Why? Because this poem is a letter in verses written by Rabindranath Tagore and is about a place that is close to us. The place provided us a breather away from the sweltering summer months in our hometown of Silchar, the place is the ever-beautiful Shillong
That Tagore had visited Shillong and had described this place in verses fascinated us, but what had also prompted us to recite and make a rendition of "Shillonger Chithi" (A letter from Shillong) for the first time in YouTube was the English translation of the same by Mrs. Uma Purkayastha
Our YouTube journey is in its nascent stage and we have a long way to go. But when Mrs Uma Purkayastha's daughter Jayashree Dutta surprised us with a beautiful comment in our video, we were delighted and it added more inspiration for us to continue on our journey. Do tell us if you guys liked the recitation 🙂
Of the many attractions in London, this one 👇 is close to our heart, and has been a respite during the lock-down. ☀️🌳🌳

Alexandra Palace, popularly known as Ally Pally, is a beautiful green space in North London. The first TV broadcast in the world by BBC in 1936 was done from here. It is also a prime music venue- The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, JayZ, Pink Floyd have performed here.
Be proud of who you are, and accept people for who they are.
