For more than 75 years historically African-American Churches that trace their roots to the Georgetown section of Washington, DC have gathered on Good Friday to commemorate and to celebrate Jesus' sacrificial death for the sins of humankind. We corporately affirm the truth, reality and efficacy of the Crucifixion. In verse made famous by Dr. Margaret Pleasant Douroux, "He would not come down from the cross just to save Himself. He decided to die just to save me."
We invite you to join us right here on this page at 12 noon on Good Friday (April 2, 2021) for a time of worship and revival, as pastors from seven of the Churches of the Georgetown Cluster share sermonic reflections on Jesus' Seven Last Sayings.
