Please join us on March 9 to learn about and discuss Coast Lines book club’s current selection!
Marthe, the protagonist in author and alumna Aimee Wall (BA’08)’s debut novel, We, Jane, is slightly skittish about returning home to St. John’s after spending years in Montréal. But the power of a newfound collective and the desire to contribute to a greater good is enough to draw her back.
The book has been longlisted for the 2021 Scotiabank Giller Prize, shortlisted for the 2021 Paragraphe Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction and the 2021 Concordia University First Book Prize, it received Le Grand Prix du livre de Montréal Jury Selection and was longlisted for The Miramichi Reader’s The Very Best Fiction Book Award.
We, Jane is the current selection for Coast Lines. We hope you’ll join Aimee along with our host, Angela Antle (BA’91) and panelist Dr. Amanda Bittner, a professor at Memorial, as they discuss the book at an online event on March 9. Read more in The Gazette!
