Not only did we see how we've evolved over the years, we noticed the difficulty we had in acknowledging Ourselves. It was easy to speak about the goodness of others, but why was it tough to speak about the greatness if ourselves and what we bring to the table? Wasn't expecting this topic to swing that way ... but hey, that's how the dialogue goes sometimes. So....let's talk 🗣

#2023
Good day all. So...humor us for a moment. Upon the opening of the Olympic Games, here is one thing that came up. is thee first gymnast to recieve her own emoji. Congrats! 🎉 What does it look like...a goat...doing a split...in a leotard...with a medal. Now..we absolutely understand the meaning behind it. She's deemed the G.O.A.T. but you mean to tell us an actual image HER couldn't suffice? She does have her own line of Clipart (see slide 2). We couldn't put a medal on "her" and release that as The Simone Biles emoji? Instead someone said, " let's get thr silhouette of a goat...".
At the end of the day, congrats !! Continue to make strides and historic landmarks. Maybe we're looking at this too deeply. What do yall think? Let us know below ...

Toxic relationships come in a variety of forms. We've either been there or know some who's been there (or still there). And don't let the sexes fool you, IT HAPPENS BOTH WAYS! Let's talk about it a bit..Episode 8

Truth of the matter is aggression plays both ways. Most men won't speak up in situations as this because of the backlash they get. Either their a punk for getting beat by a woman or their not "men" for "defending" themselves against overly aggressive women. What's your take? Episode 8...

You can find a lot of "quotes" and expressions of men not being men if they put thier hands on a woman. What is there to say about the women that put their hands on men? Yep...we're about to tap this topic...

So...this week on The D, we explored this topic. Can yall relate? Do you think you're doing too much trying to do things differently with the younger generation around you? Was the way we were brought up tough or for our own good? Should we change or keep the ball rolling through the generations? What do yall consider to be trauma? Let us know below...
Good Morning Great People!

George Stinney, Jr. Was a 14 year old boy accused of double murder. He was taken from his home, convicted after a 3 hour long trial, and sentenced to death after only a 10 minute jury deliberation. On June 16, 1944, his conviction was overturned after it was determined he did not receive a fair trial. Just 70 years too late.
Known as "The Exonerated Five", Dr. Yusef Salaam Kevin Richardson Antron McCray Raymond Santana and Korey Wise confessed to being involved in the 1989 attack of a Central Park jogger after prolonged periods of police interrogation. Charged with attempted murder, r**e, so**my, and robbery, they spent about 7 years behind bars with the exception of Korey, who spent about 13 years. In 2002, Matias Reyes confessed to the crime and was a positive DNA match to the evidence found at the crime scene. On December 19, 2002, a New York Supreme Court Justice vacated the convictions of the five previously accused.
Sean Ellis was convicted in 1995 for the 1993 robbery and murder of a Boston Police Detective, John Mulligan. He was sentenced to life in prison. He spent 21 years, 7 months, and 29 days behind bars, until his conviction was overturned in 2015. In December of 2018, the Suffolk County District Attorney dropped all charges against him, except the firearm conviction. It wasn't until May 3, 2021, that those charges were dropped and Sean was fully exonerated of a crime he did not commit.
