Deputies, rescue crews searching for missing man last seen in Vernonia over 2 weeks ago COLUMBIA COUNTY, OR (KPTV) – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a missing man last seen leaving his home in Vernonia on Jan. 25.

Search and Rescue has finally been called in!

On February 15th, at about 1300 hours, a citizen located a vehicle that they believed belonged to Mr. Golson in the Vernonia area. Deputies arrived in the area and were able to locate Mr. Golson, whom was deceased. No other details are available at this time as the incident in still under investigation.
Our condolences go out to the Golson family and we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.

On January 25th, CCSO responded to a call in the Vernonia area. Upon arrival, Deputies were advised Curt Golson had left his house in a black 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with Oregon license plate 006 DEH. The truck had a black and white camper on it.
Mr. Golson has not contacted anyone since January 25. CCSO Deputies and Search and Rescue have been in the area of Apiary Road trying to locate Mr. Golson and his truck. If anyone has any information or contacts Mr. Golson, please call CCSO at 503-397-1521.

The police were able to get Verizon to ping his phone again. Here are the coordinates we received from the Sheriff's department. If anyone would like to help us search the area around these coordinates it would be greatly appreciated.
Iso people that have a Weyerhaeuser permit that wouldn't mind searching the logging roads off of hwy 47, between Clatskanie and Mist for my uncle or his truck. We don't have a permit so we can't get behind the gates to search.
*Also if anyone does go search please tell someone where you are going and be safe!!! The last thing my family wants is someone to become lost or get hurt.

The license plate number for his truck is 006 DEH
Curt has been missing since January 25th. He was last seen leaving his house around 8:30am. He was driving a black 2007 chevy silverado with a camper attached. The police were able to ping his phone in the Mist, Oregon area on Wednesday, Jan. 29th.
Curt has not contacted anyone or used his atm/debit cards since he's been missing.
