Robin Williams took his own life because he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. Bruce Willis just learned that his illness is Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and Lewy Body Dementia. One of the hardest things to process is the slow change in the one you love. Becoming a completely different person. Everything changes. Just so you know...😢 It’s called the long goodbye. Rapidly shrinking brain is how a doctor described it. As the patient's brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are and become less themselves. Patients can eventually become bedridden, unable to move and unable to eat or drink or talk to their loved ones. There will be people who will scroll by this message because Dementia or Alzheimer's has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has fought or is fighting a battle against Dementia or Alzheimer's.
In an effort to raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like to see at least 5 of my friends put this on their timeline. I'll settle for at least one.

Leave a trail of goodness wherever you go. Inspire people. Give them hope. Motivate and encourage. Help them believe that better days are ahead. The storm shall pass. Never underestimate the power of positivity. Keep spreading good vibes and continue to make a difference.

ফ্রান্সের এক নামকরা ব্যাংকে....ব্যাংক ডাকাতির সময়...ডাকাত দলের সর্দার বন্দুক হাতে নিয়ে সবার উদ্দেশ্যে বললো, "কেউ কোন নড়াচড়া করবেন না, টাকা গেলে যাবে সরকারের কিন্তু জীবন গেলে যাবে আপনার। তাই ভাবনা চিন্তা করে আপনার পরবর্তী পদক্ষেপ ঠিক করুন।"
এই কথা শোনার পর, সবাই শান্ত হয়ে চুপচাপ মাথা নিচু করে শুয়ে পড়েছিল।

এই ব্যাপারটাকে বলে "Mind Changing Concept” অর্থাৎ মানুষের ব্রেইনকে আপনার সুবিধা অনুযায়ী অন্যদিকে কনভার্ট করে ফেলা।

সবাই যখন শুয়ে পড়েছিল, তখন এক সুন্দরী মহিলার অসাবধানবশত তার কাপড় পা থেকে কিছুটা উপরে উঠে গিয়েছিল। ডাকাত দলের সর্দার তার দিকে তাকিয়ে চিৎকার করে বলে উঠল, "আপনার কাপড় ঠিক করুন! আমরা ব্যাংক ডাকাতি করতে এসেছি, রেপ করতে না।"

এই ব্যাপারটাকে বলে "Being Professional” অর্থাৎ আপনি যেটা করতে এসেছেন, ঐটাই করবেন। যতই প্রলোভন থাকুক অন্যদিকে মনোযোগ দেওয়া যাবে না।

যখন ডাকাতরা ডাকাতি করে তাদের আস্তানায় ফিরে এলো.....তখন এক ছোট ডাকাত(MBA পাশ করা) ডাকাত দলের সর্দার(যে Class 5 পর্যন্ত পড়াশোনা করেছে) -কে বললো, "বস চলেন টাকাটা গুনে ফেলি।"
ডাকাত দলের সর্দার মুচকি হেসে বললো, তার কোনই প্রয়োজন নেই। একটু পরে টিভি ছাড়লেই নিউজ চ্যানেলগুলোই বলে দিবে আমরা কত টাকা নিয়ে এসেছি। 😉

এই ব্যাপারটাকে বলে "Experience"
অভিজ্ঞতা যে গতানুগতিক সার্টিফিকেট এর বাইরে যেয়েও কাজ করতে পারে, ইহা তার উৎকৃষ্ট প্রমাণ।

ডাকাতরা চলে যাওয়ার সাথে সাথেই, ব্যাংকের কর্মচারি...ব্যাংক ম্যানেজারের কাছে ছুটে এসে বললো, স্যার তাড়াতাড়ি চলেন পুলিশকে ফোন দেই....এখন ফোন দিলে ওরা বেশিদূর যেতে পারবে না।
ব্যাংক ম্যানেজার কর্মচারিকে থামিয়ে দিয়ে বললো, ওদের -কে আমাদের জন্যই এই ২০ মিলিয়ন টাকা নিয়ে যেতে দেওয়া উচিত, তাহলে আমরা যে ৭০ মিলিয়ন টাকার গরমিল করেছি, তা এই ডাকাতির ভিতর দিয়েই চালিয়ে দেওয়া যাবে।

এই ব্যাপারটাকে বলে, "Swim with the tide" অর্থাৎ নিজের বিপদকেও বুদ্ধি দিয়ে নিজের সুবিধা হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা।

কিছু সময় পরেই টিভিতে রিপোর্ট আসলো, ব্যাংক ডাকাতিতে ১০০ মিলিয়ন টাকার ডাকাতি। ডাকাতরা সেই রিপোর্ট দেখে বারবার টাকা গুনেও ২০ মিলিয়ন এর বেশি বাড়াইতে পারল না। ডাকাত দলের সর্দার রাগে ক্রুদ্ধ হয়ে বললো,"শালা আমরা আমাদের জীবনের ঝুকি নিয়ে, এত কিছু ম্যানেজ করে মাত্র ২০ মিলিয়ন টাকা নিলাম। আর ব্যাংক ম্যানেজার শুধুমাত্র এক কলমের খোঁচাতেই ৮০ মিলিয়ন টাকা সরিয়ে দিল। শালা চোর ডাকাত না হয়ে পড়াশোনা করলেই ত বেশি লাভ হইত।"

এই ব্যাপারটাকে বলে "Knowledge is worth as much as gold!"
অর্থাৎ অসির চেয়ে মসী বড়।

ব্যাংক ম্যনেজার হাসছে, কেননা তার লাভ ৮০ মিলিয়ন। ৭০ মিলিয়ন টাকার গরমিল করেও সে আরো ১০ মিলিয়ন টাকা নিজের পকেটে ঢুকিয়ে ফেলেছে।

এমন হা করে Oppenheimer দেখলাম যে হাই মারার ও সুযোগ হলো না। মুভিটা পারলে দেইখেন।

নিজের মানসিক সুস্থতার জন্য বাইপোলার ডিজঅর্ডারে আক্রান্ত লোকজনকে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ার বা নিজের নিউজফিড থেকে বাইরে রাখুন| এক মুহুর্তে এক্সট্রিম ইলেশান থেকে পর মুহুর্তে ডিপ্রেশনে যাওয়ার মতন ঘটনা ঘটতে দেখলে একচ্যুয়ালি এবং ভার্চ্যুয়ালি নিরাপদ অবস্থানে কেটে পড়ুন|

Who remembers the Yo Yo wave that swept the country sometime in the 90’s? Literally the WHOLE country was yo-yoing all day.

আমার মেজাজ যখন খারাপ, তখন সেটা "অকারণ মুড সুইং" খুব কমই হয়। আমি ধৈর্যের মোটামুটি ৫টা ধাপ পার হওয়ার পর ফেটে পড়ি। কাজেই আপনার সাথে আমার আচরণ যখন খারাপ, এর মানে হচ্ছে, আমার সাথে আপনি নিশ্চিত খারাপ কিছু করেছেন এবং একবার করেননি। নিশ্চিত ভাবেই বারবার করেছেন। যদি আপনি নিজের অন্যায় আচরণগুলো বুঝতে না পারেন, অবাক হবেন না। কারণ মানুষ এমনই হয়, বিশেষত বাঙালি। তারা নিজেদের অ্যাকশান হয় জানে না, নয় ধরে নেয়- এটা আর এমন কি অন্যায়! তাই রিঅ্যাকশান পেলে আকাশ থেকে পড়ে। "আমি ক্ষতি ৫বার করেছি বলে কি তোমাকে এমন ব্যবহার করতে হবে!"- এরকম একটা ভাব থাকে সবার। তাদের জন্য আমার জবাব হচ্ছে: আমি প্রথম বারেই আপনার সাথে এই লেভেলের খারাপ ব্যবহার করিনি; একটু মনে করে দেখেন। আমি অন্তত ৫ ধাপে সহ্য করার পর এই পর্যায়ে পৌঁছেছি। আপনার সাথে আমার আচরণের ট্রান্সফরমেশন একদিনের ফলাফল না। প্রেসার কুকার লম্বা সময় প্রেসারে থাকার পর যখন সিটি বাজায়, তখন আশপাশের বাড়ি পর্যন্ত আওয়াজ চলেই যায়।

এটা একটা পাবলিক পোস্ট। আমার এই দর্শন নির্দিষ্ট এক ব্যক্তির জন্য না। আমি প্রায় সব ক্ষেত্রেই ধৈর্যের অন্তত ৫টা ধাপ পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করি। নিজে থেকে কখনো নেতিবাচকতার শুরুটা করি না। তবে একবার ফেটে পড়তে শুরু করলে, তারপর ভুলে যাই যে, আমার রিঅ্যাকশানে পৃথিবী গোল্লায় গেল কিনা।

Watched "Shurongo".......while the first half was a bit sloppy but the second half was simply brilliant. Nisho's acting was superb, he was able to portray every single emotion with pinpoint accuracy, whether it was the pain of being betrayed or the portrayal of vengeance. But somehow the movie gave a "telefilm" vibe. The locations and picturisation were brilliant. Unfortunately, the music isn't something to remember. Nusrat Faria looked good in the item song. Shahiduzzaman Salim was just perfect in his role as a police officer, the Chittagonian dialects had every one rolling. Now coming to Toma Mirza' performance. Her character of "Moyna" and Mim's character of "Annanya" had lot of similarities. Somehow Toma Mirza still looks "not real" in most of the scenes. It seemed that she was neither able to give up her glamorous aura nor she could portray the simple "village girl" image acutely. Acting wise, she was decent. Now, Nisho definitely has a bright future in the movie industry provided he is not stuck to only one genre. Overall "Shurongo" was a very good movie, but it could not reach the level of "Poran" or "Damal".

পরিবারের সবাইকে নিয়ে খেতে বসুন, অনেক উপকার। আমাদের সময় এটা ছিলো, পারিবারিক বন্ধন তাই শক্ত ছিলো। এখন এগুলো উঠে যাচ্ছে তাই সেই মায়া মমতা ও নাই। তাই সমাজটাও সেরকম। পু্রানো ভালো অভ্যাসগুলো ফিরিয়ে আনুন, খারাপ গুলো বর্জন করুন।

I’m not sure whether Canceling the summer vacation in schools has anything to do with the Election date. However, I know for sure what it’ll do to the life of commuters on the Dhaka streets.

Seasoned commuters know that best time to move around the city is when the schools are closed for vacations. Since the summer vacation has been canceled, the streets will be busy with people going to and from schools all throughout the day. It’ll significantly increase the ’cost’ of moving around the city in terms of money, time, and stress, which also means the public distress from the largely peaceful and so far popular political programs will be more.
