Bunlandia Biscuits have been sent out to everyone who ordered! Some quick notes about the recent cookie orders...
If you ordered multiple bags in this last drop, you may notice that not all bags have our front logo label on them. This is intentional. We recently had to find a new business to print our stickers for us and we didn't want to delay getting orders out to wait for the new stickers to arrive.
You may notice that our cookies look a little different. Some flavors may be lighter or darker than you're used to and the cookies themselves are flatter than orders you may have gotten before. Do not worry, they are the same recipe we've always used. The difference is that we now have a mill grinder we use for the hay, so it has more of a flour consistency than previous batches. The difference in color varies depending on the hay used and what flavor the biscuits are.
I am considering doing monthly "drops" of ready to ship biscuit batches. Is that something your bunnies would like to see?
It's vet day for Rodger and Cindy Lou Who!
Rodger's incisor removal was pushed back to September, so today he is getting his incisors trimmed.
It's spay day for Cindy! She is 5 years old, so it's very important she gets spayed today! Pushing back Rodger's surgery allowed room for Cindy to be spayed today.
๐จ Breaking News!! ๐จ
Freddy, Magnolia's largest baby has opened their eyes!! They are the first baby to open eyes!!
Please help and share this post!!
Through zero fault of his own, JP's adoption fell through. He is really a terrific bun and we'd love to get him into a home. JP is a gentle giant who loves people, head rubs, snuggles, and a good nap! He has excellent litter box habits and would do best in a home that ideally allows him to free roam or provides a large pen for him.
JP was rescued from a literal snake den, in which he was being bred and his babies were used to feed the snakes. Even though this sounds like the start of a horror movie, JP hasn't let his past affect him and he is trusting, lovable and basically a puppy in bunny form.
If you would like to give this big love a home, send a message to discuss the application process!
Ipa & Bagel are enjoying one last "hoppy hour" in Bunlandia before going home tomorrow. They are wrapping up a near 7 week vacation with us and we will miss them!!
Boscoe was adopted by a close friend who lives only a few streets away, so he is the alumni we get to see the most. This week, though, he's even closer as he's boarding with us while his family is away!
Yesterday was a great day for this little boy, as he was sprung loose from animal control and made his way to the kingdom! He is about 8 months old and very curious.
Everyone meet Luck!
Cross everything ya got today in hopes that Alfie has a good recheck for his abscess! ๐๐ค๐๐ค
New besties alert!!
Bunny brothers Archie (Chinchilla) and Neville (Lop) went home today after a 2 week bonding stay in Bunlandia! Neville was very eager to be Archie's "bro," and Archie is such a sweet gentle giant! So much fun working with these guys!
"It's a beautiful day to be adopted!"
Even sweeter than his name, Caramel has left the kingdom and is off to his forever home! He even gives kisses!
Status: ADOPTED!
Couldn't let Saturday end without a photo of Magnolia's babies. One week old today!
WOW - WE ARE SOLD OUT!! We will definitely plan for more clinics in the future!
We are very excited to announce our first ever RHD Vaccine Clinic happening on August 27th and September 17th!
If this is your rabbit's first dose of the vaccine, they will need to come for their initial dose and microchip on August 27th and again, on September 17th for their second dose (we will book a time slot with you after your appointment). If your rabbit has already received the vaccine, they will only need the booster. The RHDV-2 vaccine is administered in 2 doses and both doses must be received in order for the vaccine to be effective. Vaccines are $50 per dose and the microchip (required in Connecticut) is $40. The total cost for the full series is $140 and payable to Exotic Pet Mobile Vet at the time of your appointment. The vaccine clinic will be in Seymour, CT.
Spaces are limited, but if there's a large demand we will schedule more clinics in the future!

Patch is enjoying a weekend stay in Bunlandia! He loves the room service ๐
**FIVE DOLLAR FRIDAY**
We just got word that Rodger will be having surgery NEXT WEEK to remove his incisors. We were hoping to be able to wait until September to have his surgery, but he just had his teeth trimmed three weeks ago (7/18) and they already need to be trimmed again, so this decision had to be made.
Luckily, Rodger's molars are fine, it's just the incisors that are an issue. As you can see in the photo, none of his incisors align so removing them rather than put him through monthly trims and vet visits is the way to go. Once he heals from surgery, we are hopeful that he will find a loving home as he's a really cute and very friendly guy!
The estimate for his surgery is $830. If you can spare just $5, Rodger and I would be so grateful! You can send you donation to any of the links below and note "$5 RODG-DAY" so that we properly allocate your donation!

Last week, I went down to our friends at Hop Along Hollow, who recently took in 3 angora rabbits from a rough situation. These poor buns were kept in tiny hutches outside and were not given the proper grooming needed for angoras. I went down to shave and de-matt the angoras, who were all severely matted. Honestly, the condition of these rabbits was bordering on animal cruelty. I want to stress that the condition of these rabbits was absolutely terrible, yet their owners kept saying how "well loved" these rabbits were and that they were purchased for his child. These rabbits and the condition they were in, is why so many rescuers stress owner education and how rabbits are not starters pets, or pets for children. Angoras especially are such a time commitment. I worked on these rabbits for roughly 6 hours. The matts were so old and so severe, that the hair was felting and pulling at their skin. The worst matted one Odin, still had to go in for a sedated shave this week. His whole body was one giant matt. I was able to get the matting by his ge****ls off at least and make him mildly more comfortable.
First four photos are of the female, who lost nearly 2lbs in matted hair after her shave!
Photos 6-8 are of the male Neptune, who is such a love and was so happy to just have human contact.
Photos 9 - 13 are of Odin, who by far had the most matts. He received a sedated shave at the vets this week and is feeling so much better already!
A huge thank you to everyone who has sent us baby pellets and alfalfa hay for Magnolia and her babies! This photo was taken Monday and they are already bigger, and Magnolia is doing so well. This definitely wasn't her first litter, but it for sure will be her last!
An update on our medical boarder Winston. Winston has been with us for the last 2 weeks while we support his fight with E. Cuniculi (EC). When he arrived, he wasn't eating much on his own and was pretty sedentary. He was on both EC meds and stasis meds, as well as receiving assist feedings several times a day. Winston is now only on his EC meds, which he'll continue for two more weeks. He is eating on his own and much more active. He even attempted a periscope last night when his greens were delivered!
Winston is due to go home tomorrow (where treatment will continue), and I am just so pleased with his progress! The photos are posted in order of most recent (today) to his arrival here, and I feel like you can really see a difference in him.
๐Meet a Rescue Monday๐
This week's Meet a Rescue Monday is Kevin (Kevvy)! Kevin is a Netherland Dwarf, so he's just a little dumpling, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in personality! He is 3 years old and just the sweetest boy. Kevin was a bit reserved when he first came into Bunlandia, but since being here he has really blossomed into a sweet boy who loves head rubs and his toys. Although he's not neutered yet (he will be prior to adoption), he already has great litter box habits.
We would love to see sweet Kevvy find his forever home! If you think you could be Kevin's forever family, you can apply to adopt him here:

We love a chonky baby! Momma Magnolia is doing a fantastic job taking care of her six little ones.
We could really use some help keeping Moms Magnolia and Addie and all the babies stocked with alfalfa hay and baby pellets!
You can find both on our Amazon wishlist:

Here it is, the gender reveals for Addie's babies! Did you guess correctly?
Cool dude Caramel said "balls voyage" in style yesterday and totally rocked his neuter surgery! Here he is enjoying some cold laser therapy on his incision!
Want to know what else is cool? Caramel is pending adoption!
Addie's beanie babies turned 12 weeks yesterday! They are growing like weeds and will be starting to leave for foster homes this weekend. We know the genders and will be revealing soon. Place your guess below ๐
Today is Caramel's turn to wish "balls voyage" to his troublepuffs!
๐Meet a Rescue Monday๐
This week's Meet a Rescue Monday is JP! Are you looking for a puppy trapped in a bunny's body? JP is the bun for you! JP is a sweet and silly boy, who has no idea he is nearly 11lbs! He LOVES attention, particularly head rubs and enjoys running around and flopping on his side to sleep! He's a very happy boy. JP is a Californian, but he does not have red eyes. Instead, he has these really stunning purply-grey eyes. He would be an excelled bonding candidate and we can't stress enough how much of a love this gentle giant is! Any family would be really lucky to have this adorable goofball become a member of the family!
You can apply to adopt JP here:
https://form.jotform.com/213504453297052
Please join us in welcoming Winston to Bunlandia! Winston is here with us as a medical board after he recently began showing signs of E. Cuniculi (EC). He will be staying with us for a few weeks as we offer him supportive care through his EC fight.
Our newest happy bonding graduates are our very own Zelda and her new husbun Snorky! Snorky (a known thief) first stole my partner's heart. Then, after trying Zelda with nearly every sanctuary rabbit, we tried her and Snorky, and it was near instant. So Snorky has earned himself a sanctuary spot. Zelda desperately needed a friend, and Snorky is the perfect match. They just adore each other.
Thank you all for a wonderful auction! If you have been tagged that you won an item, please hold off on sending payment. We will be reaching out this week!
