'Adipurush' is certainly one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2023. The teaser of the film was released at a mega event in Ayodhya on October 2. The film nites the talents of Prabhas, of the ‘Baahubali’ franchise, and Om Raut, who directed the Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, which was the biggest Indian box office hit of 2020.

‘Adipurush’ is the filmmaker’s take on the 'Ramayana' by Valmiki, and is set 7,000 years ago and in the film, Prabhas's character is termed as Raghav, which is another name for Lord Ram. As seen in the teaser, Saif Ali Khan plays Ravana aka Lankesh (lord of Lanka) while Sita is played by Kriti Sanon, known as Janaki (as in King Janaka's daughter).
However, as soon as the teaser was released, it left netizens disappointed and upset, and social media users started trolling the teaser for its ‘poor VFX’. Saif’s look as Ravana with his short hair and beard made netizens question if he is playing Ravana or Alauddin Khilji in the film.

One social media user wrote, “I mean seriously!!! Are they going to change the name of ravan to rizwan ?? Who is styling his beard?? Another wrote, "What kind of hair cut is Saif given?"
Some social media users went on to say that the film's VFX looks no better than an animated cartoon for kids, and argued that nobody can beat Ramanand Sagar’s 'Ramayana'. Complaining about poor VFX, netizens also said that 'Adipurush' is an insult to 'Ramayana', thereby trending " on Twitter

'Adipurush', a mythological drama, has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 300 crore. Jointly bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series and Retrophiles, it will release in theatres on January 12, 2023.

On either Ashtami or Navami (the eighth or ninth day of Navratri), Kanjak puja is performed. It's an additional means of showing the Divine Goddess your gratitude. Nine girls are welcomed into the home and showered with presents and tasty bhog. The nine divine forms of Goddess Durga—Sailaputri, Brahmacharini, Andraghanta, Kusamanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalarati, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri—embodied in these young girls who have not yet reached puberty are worshipped.
Nine girls who have not yet attained puberty are welcomed into the house.

- These young girls along with 1 boy (langur) have their feet washed and dried before being asked to sit on a cloth.

- Kalava is tied on their wrists, and a tilak is placed on their foreheads.

- They are then treated to halwa, puri and kaale chane after receiving the prasad of tender coconut. In various regions of Northern India, Chane is frequently prepared alongside Sattvik Aloo Gobhi or Aloo Tamatar.

- The young girls receive gifts as well, including cash, jewellery, clothing, and other items.

- By touching their feet and seeking their blessings, people bid them farewell.
Devi Bhagwat Puran says that young girls who are worshipped on this day are embodiments of Goddess Durga. The worship of nine girls and one boy (known as Langur) for the same reason is also known as Kanjak Puja or Kanya Pujan, and it is also accompanied by good food (bhog). Kanjak puja is performed because children are thought to have the purest souls as they lack any harmful feelings. And worshipping nine girls during this Pujan is similar to worshipping Goddess Durga in her nine avatars.

The deceased include a 45-year-old woman and two boys aged 10 and 12. Police said that the fire broke out when aarti was being Performed At The Pandal.

Huge protests have broken out at Chandigarh University in Punjab's Mohali after a girl leaked multiple bathing videos of her hostel mates online.

As per the report,
The student allegedly had made videos of 60 fellow students in the last many months. She use to sell these videos in exchange of money. The girl was caught red-handed while making a video, following which the incident unfolded. As per reports, the girl student who shot the videos is from Mohali, and she sent the video to a friend living in Shimla.

Agitating girls have also accused the university management of suppressing the matter instead of taking action, which led to many of them protesting outside the university.

Reacting to the incident, Punjab School Education Minister HS Bains appealed to Chandigarh University students to remain calm and assured them that the guilty won't be spared.

A case has been registered against the accused girl under Sections 354 c of IPC and IT act at the Gharuan police post. The accused is a first-year MBA student, police said.
