Regenerative foods come in all shapes and sizes.
Kelp isn't just a delicious, regenerative snack ✨
Kelps natural nutrition makes it ideal for medicinal purposes! Indigenous communities from the Pacific Northwest use kelp in teas, steam baths and to treat iodine deficiency. Traditionally, kelp served as the perfect vessel for transporting salves and oils for both daily use and long-distance trade 🌊. The bulbs would be cut as funnels, the liquid would then be poured into the stipe, tied up and put in bentwood boxes for storage.
A mighty seaweed, kelp can really do it all 🌞.
This information was gathered from the Puget Sound Kelp Conservation and Recovery Plan.

A new groundbreaking study proves soils on organic farms store away appreciably larger amounts of carbons – and for longer periods -- than typical agricultural soils.
The important study, directed by The National Soil Project at Northeastern University in collaboration with the Organic Center, provides a new significant proof point that organic agricultural practices build healthy soils and can be part of the solution in the fight against global warming.
