Yesterday afternoon at approx. 14:39, firefighters were dispatched to a residence in town for a reported structure fire. First due companies were met with heavy fire showing initiating the upgrade in event scale and response size bringing resources from various surrounding towns. Over several hours companies coordinated an attack and were able to make a stop preventing further damage to the remaining structure. The fire is currently still under investigation by the PFD FIU team along with the State Fire Marshal’s office. Thank you to all mutual aid companies for the assistance.

Congratulations to FF Brian Donovan on graduating the Massachusetts Fire Academy today! He successfully completed 10 weeks of training and is ready to come back to Plainville and start working his shifts. Welcome back brian.

Plainville Firefighters along with Wrentham Firefighters dispatched to Route 495 for a single car MVA with fire no injuries reported.

Pictured here is Captain Moore, who is attending a National Fire Academy class at the Massachusetts Fire Academy for Juvenile Fire Setters. Also pictured is FFOP Firefighter Mercadante, who is currently attending the Massachusetts Fire Academy recruit training program.
Captain Moore spent a week learning about and training on juvenile fire setters as part of the fire investigation unit. Firefighter Mercadante will graduate his recruit training program in two weeks.
Plainville Firefighters Plainville Police along with Norfolk and Wrentham Fire and police escorted KP Babe Ruth baseball team back home from there world series.

Plainville Tanker 1 is currently assisting Medfield Firefighters with a large brush fire in there town.
Plainville Firefighters have been busy the last few days with many medical emergencies and fire alarm activations.
On Friday Tanker 1 was requested for a large boat yard fire in Mattapoisett. Also Attleboro fire had a large brush ride and requested our brush truck for assistance.
A full recall was put out and off duty firefighters covered the town until the trucks returned to quarters.
Busy day today for Plainville Firefighters. Multiple medical runs in between Tower ladder training.
Plainville Firefighters had a great day for our annual golf tournament. It was a hot one but thanks for all the teams that braved the weather to come out and support us.
We would like to thank all of the businesses that donated raffle prizes and wentworth hills cc for having us again this year.

Plainville Firefighters have had a busy evening. Eng 1 and Ambulance 2 dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on the highway one person was transported with non life threatening injuries.
While on the highway Plainville car 1 and car 2 got dispatched to village green apartments along with North Attleborough engine for a fire alarm activation. Ended up to be burnt food.
Ambulance 3 cleared sturdy hospital and was dispatched to North Attleborough for a 2 car motor vehicle accident. Off duty firefighters were called in to the station for multiple calls.
Plainville Firefighters have had a busy day. Car 2 Eng 1 and A3 were dispatched to route 495 for a motorcycle accident. The operator was transported to rhode island trauma center with non life threatening injuries.
While clearing the highway Companies were dispatched to assist North Attleborough Firefighters with a stubborn brush fire on the town line. Crews assisted for a few hours on scene.
After cleaning up from the brush fire Car 1 Car 2 and Tower 1 got dispatched to Wrentham for a structure fire. Plainville Firefighters along with Norfolk and Foxborough Firefighters assisted Wrentham.
Thank you to Mansfield EMA for providing rehab for these incidents.
Off duty firefighters were called in to cover the town and had several more calls.
Great job by all the members and departments involved.
At approx 4 pm today Plainville Firefighters received a master box alarm into the station. Car 2 Engine 1 and Tower 1 responded while Ambulance 3 was dispatched to a medical emergency.
Companies found a fire in a industrial building that had started from a piece of machinery. The fire was held at bay by the sprinkler system.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and was assisted by North Attleborough firefighters Wrentham Firefighters Foxboro Firefighters and Norfolk was cancelled enroute. Off duty Plainville Firefighters covered the town.
Another excellent job done by all involved.
