Soften and breathe in your cells.
Are you comfortable? Close your eyes and feel into your body. Are you holding anywhere?
When you sit or move, are you conscious of holding or propping yourself into "better posture" or to fit the image of a form?
Finding comfort in my own body is at the heart of my teaching. We're often taught to sit up straighter, pull our shoulder blades down, mechanically align our hips.
That brain-directed mechanical approach just fixates our body, reinforces holding and dysfunction, and often causes short and/or long term discomfort.
When we make comfort our goal, it opens up new possibilities for healing, alignment, and movement.
Movement and consciousness explored from the direct experience and action of our muscles themselves, not just from the brain telling the muscles what to do, offers myriad of possibilities which the brain telling the body what to do cannot.
Movement initiated in this embodied way is automatic, spontaneous, and specific. It underlies vitality, strength, flexibility, flow, and ease, and informs and engages a whole-body response through the fascial matrix.
I'm offering an 8-week online series of classes exploring our muscles from an embodied perspective. We will gently engage our muscles from a feltsense of their inherent integrity, intelligence, and coordination.
Classes start on January 27 and are every Thursday through March 17. Each class is 90-minutes.
Classes will be recorded for those who are not able to make the live classes or participants who would like to review and revisit the material.

Bye 2020 👋🏼 summing up this year is not easy. With respect and love for everyone of you that have been struggling and going through a lot, I can honestly say that on a personal level this year has given me so much. Both pain and happiness but mostly clarity and acceptance. Also a lot has changed and shifted.
* I started the year finally taking two Spanish courses
* I travelled to Málaga with my love and challenged myself to practice my Spanish. We came back to Sweden right before the total outbreak of COVID-19
* I lost all my jobs and found myself in a crisis of what to do next and a struggle to pay rent
* I finally took a training of embodiment and somatics with and participated in the amazing which changed my yoga practice and teaching a lot! So grateful and I just love it ❤️
* I held my first beginners yoga course online for 8 weeks
* I learned how to stay put, not just planning a trip as soon as I felt bored. I started to put energy in to things that I never found time to do before
* I enrolled and started the first semester of a 3 year university education to become a career counselor
* I got to know a lot of lovely new friends through zoom, and was amazed by the supportive online community
* I started teaching more and more yoga classes in Stockholm after years of traveling and indecisiveness. I now have classes at some of my favorite studios in town ✨
* I learned to say YES and also to say NO in work related situations. Valuing my own time, space and health
* I strongly felt the horrors of what was going on in the world. Of all the suffering and struggles. I cried more times than I can count and tried to help out where I could
* I challenged myself a lot this year. A lot of firsts. Meeting so many fears that I didn’t even know I had and tried a lot of new things, 5 new jobs, 3 different studies, stepping into my power and trusting myself
To sum it all up I kind of need a rest after this year. The same way I sometimes need a rest after a vacation 😂 but I am truly thankful for all the experiences and I can’t wait to see what the future might hold for us.

Welcome to experience the flow with me! My name is Matilda and I’m a teacher and a student of the inner & outer worlds of existence. The focus of my yoga classes is experiencing the flow - the embodied awareness of being alive. I offer Hatha flow, Vinyasa and Yin classes in Stockholm. No matter if we are still, flowing slowly or in a faster pace, we will stay with what is present right now. Through movement and breath we will rediscover the power of our bodies and minds. When we make every move count, we flow without reaching. Trusting ourselves that we already know what we need, when we listen to our bodies.
