This morning I scrolled through my photos and reflected on how special our time was that we spent together as a family last week.

After a few very busy weeks we got to spend almost a week together - away from our usual pressures, routines and just the general busyness of our everyday lives.

Our days were spent doing activities on the lake, hiking, having fun at the beach and just talking and bonding again as a family. Some of us tried new activities and some of us overcame fears. My heart was full seeing how my kids were supporting and encouraging each other. It feels like these are the precious moments we often miss in our everyday lives as we sometimes become so busy trying to get through everything that needs to be done in the day or week.

Being reminded again how fast time is going by, how quickly our kids are growing up and how precious time is with our loved ones.

What a beautiful day yesterday turned out to be……

I was reminded again of the importance of slowing down, living in the moment and enjoying the little (but important) things in life.

Watching our son play cricket – he always puts his whole heart into what he loves doing. It makes me happy seeing the joy on his face when we are there to support him and his team.

Then also spending some quality time with our daughter - seeing the joy and contentment on her face as we took a slow walk through the park, talking and laughing as we explored the flowers, watched the different birds, and of course moved some bees from the footpaths so that that don’t get trampled on 😊
