Welcome to RohoYoga!

Did you know? I didn't do yoga for a long time; in fact I'd always thought it wasn't enough of a workout, so I had shunned it. The truth was, I didn't really understand what yoga was... Read my full story on our website: https://bit.ly/2V7qkPq π
Here's a good quote to ponder on in your next meditation session...
"The most creative act you will ever undertake is the act of creating yourself." β¨
What do you think? Is there a more creative act?
Does your mind often wander in , or do you struggle to remain mentally present? π§
Try focusing your attention to the sounds and sensations of your breath. Notice the expansion and contraction of your rib cage.
Most of all, donβt worry! It is natural for your mind to wander, especially when you are trying meditation for the first time. When you feel your focus begin to waver, simply bring your mind back to your breath.
If you need more meditation tips, drop me a message and I will do my best to provide some more. π¬
Did you know? Practicing yoga helps strengthen your immune system.
As your muscles stretch and contract, your internal organs move around, increasing lymphatic drainage. This helps the lymphatic system fight infections and cancerous cells. πͺ
Isn't it amazing what goes on in the body without us knowing? See more reasons to try yoga on our website: https://bit.ly/3tNlrY4

I used to feel really selfish if I said I wanted some time for βmeβ but taking time out for yourself is an amazing act of . β€οΈ
It doesn't matter how you spend the time. You could be sitting outside in front of a beautiful coastal view or relaxing with a cup of tea β itβs whatever feels right to you.
Read my blog about why 'me time' is so important: https://bit.ly/3i1GOQk π
can be difficult, especially for beginners, as your mind can easily start to wander. Here are my three top tips for learning to meditate:
π Start with a few deep breaths to calm your body and lower your heart rate
π Find a quiet designated space to help support the process
π Be kind to yourself - some days will be easier than others to meditate
Itβs all about practice, so you might find that the more you meditate, the easier it is!
There is a lot of twisting and bending involved in yoga, so it's probably not a good idea to eat anything heavier than a light snack an hour or two before a class, otherwise your undigested meal will be making itself known to you in uncomfortable ways!
Do you have a question about my yoga classes? Feel free to drop me a message and I will answer it to the best of my abilities. π¬
Yesterday, I am came to realization that we have reached the second half of 2021! π± There are less than 6 months left, but there's still plenty of time to take up a new hobby you said you were going to start this year, like yoga for example... π
This week I saw this great quote from Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa. Yoga is all about learning to accept and care for yourself, both physically and mentally. π
A Neck Stretch is a great way to release the trapezius muscles at the base of your neck. It's really quick and simple too! π
Here's how to do it:
π With your right hand at your side, bend your elbowβkeeping it close to your waistβturn your palm up and then rotate your arm away from your centre.
π Keep your arm in this position, and tilt your left ear over your left shoulder.
π Hold for 3-5 breaths.
π Repeat on the other side.

You might have heard the term "Pranayama", but not really understood what it means.
To put it simply, pranayama is the control of your breath as you do yoga, linking the breath to movement. It also refers to the different breathing techniques that youβll do during some yoga classes.
Pranayama is a vitally important part of yoga. Find out why: https://bit.ly/2Z2OJ73

Sometimes you'll have days where you're rushing around, stressed about this and that, but you know that the stress will ease in the next day or so. π§
However, when you've got compounded stress, it won't go away so easily. It builds up over time and leaves your body feeling extremely tense. If this is something that you're struggling with, I may have the answerβ¦
Practising yoga regularly has really helped me reduce my stress levels, relaxing my mind through breathing exercises and stretches that release excess tension.
