Synopsis:

The horde of Breathers is growing, searching for sustenance and now for salvation. Rae is on the run from another monster, from the man who claims he loves her. 𝘟𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆.

He becomes further consumed by hate and revenge as the beast inside of him unravels, revealing a twisted and dark fiend, one that feeds on humans and their fear. His obsession with Rae, and his need to possess her, becomes the bane of her existence.

I'm so excited to finally share the cover of my second book in The Vanquished Trilogy with all of you wonderful people! Thank you to the talented and clever Franzi (Coverdungeonrabbit) for bringing my ideas to life and infusing magic into your work. You are brilliant!

Release day is not definite for this one as I learnt the hard way not to rush things! I'm aiming for the end of year, but as we all know... life happens. This book is finished and currently in editing stages (which takes a bucket load of time) so I will keep you all updated!

Synopsis:
Rae struggles with the new responsibilities as a Ruler and guardian to an orphaned child—these difficulties exacerbated more so by the ever growing urgency for a cure and treatment to the Breather’s effect on humankind. Her second in command, Gideon, is her unwavering support and as time progresses, so do their feelings for each other.

But the council members suddenly decree that she must choose a suitor—one that is not Gideon himself. Hearts intertwine, complications arise and Rae finds her feet itching for freedom outside the walls of her segmented prison.

Going against the advice of her second, she sneaks from the walls for a midnight run across the wastelands. The blatant disregard of his orders subsequently lands her in strife, but also leads her to discover new abilities hidden deeply within her… and the brother she knew nothing of. Cillian. Perhaps together, their awoken abilities will fuse and be sufficient to finally create a cure; but will the cure be enough to restore the soul of a lost loved one?

Little does Rae know that something is growing inside her and nothing else matters…for this may very well be the breath of life the Vanquished world needs.

Exerpt from Breath of Death:
"Raine, you are the light of this w-world. Y-you are a queen," Riona whispers with jagged breaths against her newborn daughter's bloodied face. "You have been brought into this life to save this f-fallen world."
The raven haired woman wheezes violently as her rapidly diminishishing life fades further and she turns to her husband, gazing lovingly into his eyes one last time.
"I love you," she whispers on the last breath and her once vivid blue eyes dim to a dull colour as she stares blankly into space. A mournful cry rips from the mouth of her husband yet he doesn't hesitate to grasp the precious bundle, binding the baby to his chest with rope as the scalding tears stream down his face. He will need his hands free to slaughter any creature that attempts to steal his daughters precious life. Gripping the sharp sword in his hand, he trudges out of the deep cave and away from the protection it affords.
The tiny human squirming against his chest is his utmost priority now; even if it kills him.

126,551 words later and the first book in the Vanquished Trilogy is FINISHED! (Much to the relief of doggo)

Book 1: Vanquished Series - Breath of Death. 92,000 words completed as of today...so close to finishing!
