DID YOU KNOW?

Dessert markup can be as high as 70% but it doesn't compare to the whopping 1,150% markup of soda in restaurants!

This says a lot in the food business. In fact, based on our own experience asking restaurant owners in the US and UK, the average product markup is around 30%. However, bakeries, cafes, and bars have a much higher range of markup. What's interesting is that it seems like this is not just because of the amount of work that is put into it but also because of the story that the online world has built for this industry. Simply put, it is the marketing of these pastries, coffees, and cocktails that led us to believe that this is how much these things are worth.

If you are a business owner or a social media manager, you might need to read on.

Here are four things to ponder on in managing an online business. These are things people often overlook because they tend to focus on the surface.

Your business page should be a marketing hub. Use it to showcase your service and tell your story. Provide contents that will help you connect with potential customers. Optimizing your business page shows you are a professional. Customers can see all your important contact information and social media links, making it easy for them to find you online.

Find the basic steps of page optimization above.

Managing your social media accounts yourself is totally fine. No one's gonna tell you otherwise but doing so would take a lot of effort. You have to be consistently pro active and should be ready to fail. Social Media Management, like any other field, is something that is not learned overnight. It takes from weeks to years of study and practice, not to mention the actual creative talents or intelligence some have.

So if you want to grow your business as you sleep, have more time for the things that actually matter, and be settled that there's an expert spreading your virtual presence. Hire a Social Media Manager now. You'll be surprised at how much they will give for relatively little in return.
